The texture and work is good with fine hair and thick hair, wavy or curly. But when I use it, if feels like more work to angle right due the the handle being long. The length of a usual straightener is 11" with the 5"plate. This one also had a 5" plate but the length was 13". Those 2 inches make a big change. If you are getting your hair done by someone else or you are straightening someone else's hair, you might not see that much of a difference. ... show more

I have long wavy, dry, thick, unruly hair. The "wave" are uneven and lumpy. This product is FABULOUS. Does exactly what it reports to do. It is very easy to use. Took me about 15 minutes to straighten all of my hair. It looks and feels wonderful. It stayed nice even after sleeping on it. I have tried other brands that cost more and they did not work as well.
