The water splashes from my sloppy black lab pooled on top of this blanket. I had to get a towel to soak it up. We have two dogs. One is about 60lbs and the other is over 100lbs and a huge drooling mess. We put these blankets on the couch and it has saved it from muddy paws, drool, and us dropping food. I don't do anything special for washing them so the waterproof may not last as it could but overall we love the blankets. Would recommend it if you have dogs. ... show more

Looked nice, washed nicely, the only problem is that I have a diabetic cat that is incontinent and this does not hold it. It is resistant only, not waterproof. Perfectly fine for overall use except for this issue.

I JUST put this on my horrible-looking, water-stained pull-out sofa. My cats love it! And it makes that sofa look brand new! But, more importantly, I dozed off holding a drink that spilled on me and the cover. I grabbed a near-by roll of toilet paper to wipe up what I just knew would be a soaking wet spot on the cover. Since they are advertised as waterproof, I thought these would be a great thing to put down for a potty pad. Not so much. The urine pools and rolls right off. Definitely water proof, not absorbent. Don’t be dumb like me.

This is more like 50" x 75" , not 82" quite, and just barely fits across the bottom of the couch to tuck in. However it does its job and protects the seats and holds the cushions in place for my crazy puppy. Very nicely made despite not being huge. Kind of glad it's not too thick. Ok overall.
