Easy to put together. Took about 10min simply cause the 5 bike option has 20 screws. Super easy though with clear instructions. It’s perfect for kids bikes, especially the balance bikes or small bikes that don’t have kickstands! And then their scooters fit in between. Two wheel inline scooters fit between all the bikes and 3 wheel toddlers scooters fit at the ends. This thing is a game Changer in my garage! Buy it. This lightweight rack is not some ultimate storage rack. However, it's relatively inexpensive and serves it's intended purpose of keep our bikes standing up in the garage. Without it, they were always falling over from using the kick-stands. With these units, the bikes stand upright and let us put our other "junk" around the bikes when not in use, and the bikes aren't falling over. Simple, cheap, effective. If knocked, the bikes may still fall, but that's really "your problem" at this point, since they're generally kept in place with this rack. ... show more

It’s very easy to pop this whole bike rack together, with the aluminum tubes easily connecting. The components that are meant to hold the bike wheels in place do require screws (provided in the package, but with no spares, so be careful not to lose any of them!), and this can require a some patience to line things up just right to get the screws threaded, but once you’ve got the screws started they spin in easily. After everything is assembled and tightened, the rack looks good and feels pretty solid. It’s also quite lightweight, so it’s easy to move around. And it works for holding up everything from adult-sized bikes to the smallest of scooters. I used it to prop up 4 bikes and 3 scooters, with a bit of room to spare for more — although the designated spots for sliding in a bike wheel work best, there’s room in-between each designated spot to also slide in some additional bikes and scooters (if you don’t mind the extra items having to lean against the other bikes). Now if I can just get my kids to remember to put their bikes and scooters into the rack instead of leaving them all of the ground, I’ll be all set haha. ... show more

I am pretty handy and the instructions for this are clear. It is light, yet stable for bikes, and of good quality. We brought the small one. But the issue is that the design it’s not be perfect because despite my efforts I could not tighten and out two of the screws. I was tired of having my kids toss their bikes on the ground after they finished riding each day. I researched "bike racks" and was disappointed to find just how expensive some of these racks are. However, the Retrospec Bike Racks come in 2, 4 and 5 bike spaces, and aren't expensive. I purchased both the 2 and 5 sets, since they can be easily combined to meet the number of bike spaces needed. I was SO VERY pleased with the quality and durability of this bike rack. Assembly takes a little patience, since the screw threads have to match up exactly, yet is made easier by the adjustable pipes. It took about an hour to put together both the 2 and 5 bike racks (joined together). Now I have a wonderful bike stand that holds the 7 bikes, and the kids no longer have to leave their bikes all over the yard. I like the design, durability and value. This is a cheap, lightweight bike rack. It gets pushed back when kids try to put their bikes in. Not a good one. One pro is that you can adjust how many bike spots there are (not use all 5).

I've been using this for two year now and it still looks and functions the same as the day I put it together. It has been outside in the elements the entirety of it's use. I've seen no rust or wear on it. It is a very lightweight bike rack, I would never call it much of a deterrent to thieves, but it does hold my 4 bikes, one fat tire) just fine. It works great as a storage place in my back yard so the kids don't leave their bikes lying all over the place. With sever faulty or missing kickstands, it keeps the bikes upright and neat and tidy. Easy to access and easy to put away. I am and continue to be happy with my purchase. I would not suggest using it in a high theft insecure area, as it is lightweight enough that forcing the bars to bend or separate would not be an issue for someone who really wants to take your bike. ... show more
