Retrospec Bicycle's Toto Basket pays homage to perhaps the best- known basket in all of history. Toto was hauled around from Kansas to Oz and back to Kansas in a similarly shaped rectangular basket. It's your turn to transport any and all of your items in our Toto basket (whether or not you have a Toto, too). The wide symmetrical opening is perfect for carrying shopping bags, textbooks and miscellaneous personal items as you bicycle around town. The authentic leather straps easily attach to the front of any type of bike (no tools required). I love this basket and so does the dog! It is the perfect size for putting my handbag in, for trips to the library and putting books in and even Bam Bam loves going out for bike rides in it. It is sturdy and heavy duty. Fits the bike handlebars perfectly and unlike other baskets I have had, it doesn't drag on the front wheel when it has stuff in it. ... show more

Purchased this basket some time ago for my wife’s beach cruiser. She recently just started using it. The look of this basket is great, but if you intend on actually using this basket look elsewhere. We are about a 3 min bike ride from the beach, and the other day my wife loaded her basket with one beach towel, and one blue tooth radio, and headed off. During her trip to the beach, the wicker in the basket started to slowly rip, and by the time she got home there was a big hole in the basket, where it attaches to the handle bar area, going all the way down. For the price of this basket I expected much better quality, but expecting that of today’s products is probably my fault. As stated before of your looking for quality look elsewhere. ... show more

Feels like a very good quality basket with leather straps. I bought some artificial flowers on Amazon and threaded them through the wicker to add color (see photos).

I love this basket! I don't carry anything heavy in it, just basic things like water, phone, etc, so it's perfect for my needs on a leisurely bike ride. If you're wanting a basket for heavy groceries, I'd get a wire basket. This one is more for looks and light carry alongs. Perfect size too!! Plenty of room for a small picnic blanket and book! :) ... show more

Would give it a 4.5 if I could. You will be hard pressed to find a better basket that has the wicker and the leather handles. I got this after a lot of research to find something that can hold our 8 lbs pom chi. This fits him perfectly. As another reviewer noted, in order to support the basket (front or rear) you need to have the underneath support (I have it up front). You MUST have this as from what I can tell the basket is too fragile to hold anything more than cell, keys etc. I give this 4 stars because the wicker was peeling as soon as I took it out of the box but like I said you'd be hard up to find something better that can transition to other bike models. There are a ton of reviews from people who want to put their small dog in here and a good idea is to use a dog seat belt and attach one end to their harness and the other (with a carabiner) to the slack of the leather strap. As a dog lover, I wanted to pass on my thoughts to other dog people. For those asking on weight limits I would say more than 10 lbs is pushing it. ... show more

I literally just purchased this basket to carry my little Maltipoo -- he's 3.9lb -- around with me. I LOVE the color, and the size of this basket. My dog fits PERFECTLY and he absolutely loves riding around in it. He has more than enough room. I have a Schwinn Urban Traveler, and wouldnt want this basket to be any larger and/or smaller. I really think it's the perfect size. As for the reviews/comments about it not being sturdy, I can see why they feel this way if they don't have the underneath support. My bike has a front rack/bar built-in, so having this for the basket to 'sit' on while being strapped into the handle-bars at the top, makes for an extremely enjoyable riding experience. I also love the straps have multiple holes, giving you a variety of lengths to choose from. The ONLY suggestion I have, is for this exact basket to be made but with a WATER BOTTLE HOLDER. I would buy it in an instant. Overall, for now, I think this is a great basket, and highly recommend it! ... show more

If you're looking for a large brown stained woven basket for your bicycle, then this is pretty much the only option you need. It's made very well, has good quality materials and accents, and has lasted for several years now.
