If you're looking for a large brown stained woven basket for your bicycle, then this is pretty much the only option you need. It's made very well, has good quality materials and accents, and has lasted for several years now. I have been wanting this basket for a while and finally took the plunge. I love the color and texture but like reviews on here warn, it's not very sturdy! I carry small items that dont weigh much to include my 8lb poodle but im cautious not to overburden it. Particality may not be its main feature but asthetically, it is right! *shrug* I'm looking to see if I can re-enforce it with some wire so that I can carry heavier loads... ... show more

Would give it a 4.5 if I could. You will be hard pressed to find a better basket that has the wicker and the leather handles. I got this after a lot of research to find something that can hold our 8 lbs pom chi. This fits him perfectly. As another reviewer noted, in order to support the basket (front or rear) you need to have the underneath support (I have it up front). You MUST have this as from what I can tell the basket is too fragile to hold anything more than cell, keys etc. I give this 4 stars because the wicker was peeling as soon as I took it out of the box but like I said you'd be hard up to find something better that can transition to other bike models. There are a ton of reviews from people who want to put their small dog in here and a good idea is to use a dog seat belt and attach one end to their harness and the other (with a carabiner) to the slack of the leather strap. As a dog lover, I wanted to pass on my thoughts to other dog people. For those asking on weight limits I would say more than 10 lbs is pushing it. ... show more

I was worried that this wouldn’t fit because it says the length is 14” and my basket that it would sit in is 11” by 11.5”. It fit in perfectly. There is even room on one side to put more larger items outside this basket as you can see in the last photo. I used the straps to attach one side and I put 2 black zip ties in the front attached to the upper bar and 2 black straps in the rear also attached to the upper bar. The bottom sits flat on the bottom of the other basket so that this basket will not have to bear any of the weight of anything you put in it which should make it last longer. I really love this basket!!!! I was surprised to see how big and how deep it was, so it can hold a lot of things, but because it's woven, I am a little careful about the amount of weight it can hold, so to be on the safe side I usually just put my phone, keys and water bottle. Because it has leather straps it's really easy to put on and adjust. It was exactly what I was looking for, in style and the use. I'm really happy with it :) ... show more

Purchased this 2 months ago & barely put this on my bike less than a month ago for a convenient place to hold my purse & water bottle while I ride to work. I realized yesterday coming home from work that a couple pieces were snapped but nothing too bad. But today on my day off i’m on my way to run errands and I notice the whole basket is coming off, keep in mind I only ever carry my purse (containing my wallet, keys, lip gloss, and water bottle) in the basket. If it’s not to hold normal things like a purse and water bottle what’s the purpose of a basket?? Don’t waste your money on this junk. ... show more
