Stretch Your Lower Back 30 Minutes a Day: 1. Lie flat on a bed. 2. Locate the lumbar pillow around the middle of your lower back. Gently reposition on the pillow, up or down along your spine to locate the most comfortable position for your back. 3. Bent your knees, put your hand straight up your head. 4. Once comfortable, allow your lower back to settle further into the support. Taking slow deep breaths helps to relax. 7. Take notice of how the support is reinforcing your posture. I started having back pain since I got a new fancy mattress that is slightly too soft than what I’m used to. It was too late to return it so I decided to figure out a way to make it work. I added a firming topper and then researched into lumbar support options for sleeping and came across this little pillow. Before I bought a different lumbar pillow and that one proved itself useful only for sitting. This pillow however is comfy to sleep with. Now, I won’t say I don’t feel it (before back pain sleeping without any lumbar support was better) but this one enables me to wake up pain free and not have a stiff back. I took out the second layer so it’s at its flattest and I’m happy to report that I can finally wake up in the morning and not resume my search of back pain relief. This pillow is great! I bought this for sleep I do not recommend you sleep with this I woke up with really bad back pain, but I do use it as a back support whenever I sit that seems to help. The quality is not that great it flattens in the middle quickly it works for my lower back support when sitting but definitely not for sleeping. ... show more

SAVED MY LIFE, I bought this pillow because I experienced a really bad back spasm because of the pressure put on my back because of my job. Even though I’d experience spasms before, I knew that I needed to do as much as possible to help my back relieve pressure that was under my control. I usually sleep on it even though I feel like you can also put it against a chair. This to me didn’t take away my pain. I underestimated this product. I bought it on a whim, since low back pain is ALWAYS present. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I thought “why not? If nothing else I’ll use it under my neck or something”…so I used it, in my bed watching tv for about a week, every night. One night, I could NOT get comfortable. I tried everything. I noticed my “new lumbar pillow” was on the floor. I thought that there was NO way that such a seemingly simple item could make such a difference. I was SO wrong. SO SO wrong. I tried sleeping on this pillow to help with my lower back pain, but it just didn't work for me. I didn't find it comfortable to sleep on at all. That said, it's made a world of difference for me by providing extra lumbar support in my office chair and has reduced my back pain at work. It fits in my chair well, holds its shape and doesn't make my chair too hot. So while I am not using it as I originally planned, I still think it was a good purchase.
