I have NEVER had a product work as well as the reviews promise. But this one is BETTER. I can’t believe how many flies this thing catches and how quickly it fills up. Our neighbors are a bunch of turds and don’t clean up after their two big dogs in the yard so the flies are out of control. I put a bag up near the fence between us. It’s supposed to last 30 days. We filled it up in 4. We also have a nest of bald faced hornets living in the woods nearby who have become a nuisance because they are attracted to dog poop because they eat flies, and the flies hang out on dog poop. They’re extremely aggressive. I was concerned at first because the hornets were attracted to the bag. We kept it far away from where we hang out which solved the fly and hornet problem because the hornets go straight to the bag. A few got in and I was worried that they’d chew through the bag. They haven’t! This trap kills two birds with one stone! The only issue is the smell (it’s gross to begin with, and even worse with thousands of flu carcasses) and moving it. The flies and hornets are very active during the day and the ones waiting to get into the club will fight you when you try to touch it. I wait until just before sunset because flies and hornets aren’t active when it gets dark. I’ll double bag it with grocery bags, tie the top, and toss it in the trash. When I’m on the ball and I put these out as soon as I see the first creep of spring houseflies, these keep the fly population under control. I usually hang one near our trash cans, and another one in the back of the yard, near where our next door neighbors have their trash cans stored. Before I started buying these, the flies were super out of control in our backyard, and we couldn’t hang out or eat outside without flies constantly landing on us. Now it’s noticeably better. Easy to use, easy to dispose of. Really doesn’t smell too bad unless you’re pretty close. They catch hundreds of flies. It’s disgusting. My only criticism is that I wish they came with some kind of string or hanging device. ... show more

    • Amazing Fly Trap
Living near a lake the fly population is unbelievable in late spring and summer. These help control the population and are a huge help keeping the pesky flies out of our home. They do smell nasty, so I place them a minimum of 20 - 30 feet away from entrances. They trap many thousands of flies. The entire bag will fill up with nasty fly corpses and some live ones too. I generally replace them after 6-8 weeks. Do place them in the shade to help keep the liquid from evaporating quickly. ... show more

It works but place it far away from the areas where normally your family hangouts. I think it has a bad smell. But it does attract the flies. Within an hour the bag was surrounded by a lot flies.

Yes, they definitely STINK to high heaven yet we no longer have a fly problem and for here in SE Louisiana, that's nothing short of a freaking miracle!!! Even the biting flies are attracted to it and both me and my dogs are very happy about that!!!

Just moved to the country and these things are life safer! So easy to use! We put them away from the house and it's amazing how the flies are drawn to them instead of us!

Works great and catches and kills tons of flies and flying insects outdoors. Odor when many bugs are killed is not good but it does the job. Will keep buying these.

    • They work great but....
We have a horse pastured near us, and there are lots of flies. These traps work great but the closer you are to them the more the bad odor is noticeable. Odor is more tolerable than the flies however.
