This allows me to either 'extend' the reach when used with the supplied OEM tube, or, with another head unit, as an 'alternate' attachment, for quick swap out to different head units. This is a perfect fit for my Dyson Outsize+ vacuum. The tube is about 4" longer than the original tube that came with the vacuum which gives it a bit longer of a reach. I did not get this to replace a broken wand. I found it difficult and awkward to reach down to the bottom to swap out accessories like going from a floor brush to a nozzle and I often go back and forth during cleaning sessions so I'm finding it much easier to have the floor brush on one wand and the nozzle on another and just swap them out where they attach to the main part of the vacuum.

This extension tube works perfectly with my Dyson V6. The attachment is fully compatible with my motorized head. It's slightly lighter and less material than the original Dyson branded extension tube but that doesn't mean it compromises it's use. I have to admit one of things that attracts me to Dyson products are the great colors they use, especially their blue. These replacement wands from Vacuyahu are a great replacement for a broken part or if you want to customize your vac. It fits properly and connects securely, both physically and electrically...it simply works. Dyson replacement parts are quite expensive. This wand offers OEM functionality at a reasonable price.
