As soon as I put the batteries in and pointed it toward the TV, and hit the power button, it turned it right on didn’t have to program it or do anything special. Works perfectly. I would prefer if it was rechargeable instead of having to buy batteries.

Great replacement Samsung remote!
These Samsung replacement remotes work great. They immediately connected without any pairing needed which is such a bonus if you are not tech savy. They are priced reasonably. We have a 9 month pup that loves to steal and try to eat remotes. The only downfall I can find is they are very difficult to open to change batteries. I have found I have to use a knife to start to pry it open in order to slide the back off to reveal the batteries. I think a little bit more consideration could be put into the design of the rear cover, besides that, no complaints. ... show more

just as advertised, I put batteries in and it worked right out of the box! BUT----GETTING THE BACK OFF COST IT A STAR! After reading what every did to get the back off, i had to find another way than pry it off with a screwdriver. I put a piece of duct tape on the back and that gave me just enough grip to slide it off. ... show more

Don't get it if you don't want to wrestle with opening the back.
Received it today and I have no idea if it works good or not because I can't even get the back off to put in batteries. I have seen several other comments about this despite the good reviews but for me I am disappointed. Guess I will try to pry it open with a knife or screwdriver. Guess you get what you pay for. Faster and More Buttons Than the Original Remote
Been using it about a week. This remote has buttons for Amazon Prime and Netflix and another streaming service we don't use. Our original remote didn't have those buttons and it's been a small earning curve to change how we habitually press the buttons. Battery install battle, winnable
What a battle to get the batteries in. Be prepared with a Swiss army knife (preferably two), tweezers, and a combination of strength and perserverence. Ignore the "slide off" symbol on the back. Work a utility blade along the sides to get a partial split. Then use the rugged can opener blade along both sides to free the case. But that's only round one. Two rocker switches will fall out. Capture them and put them aside. Remove the rubber membrane sheet. Now use your can opener again to pry the entire circuit board out from the sides because the batteries install from the underneath. For assembly the circuit board will snap back into place easily. Now take the two black rockers and re-install into their cradles. Note that the rockers are interchangeable but must each be oriented correctly. The curved side goes to the outside. Tweezers may be needed here. Position the rubber membrane making sure that all the buttons center themselves on the remote topside holes. Do a final snap together and you are finally done. For me it worked immediately including the Netflix and Amazon Prime buttons. ... show more
