The umbrella is well made and held together for over 5 years. After 5 years of occasional NYC downpours it broke down, but I reached out to the company and they have sent a replacement immediately - these umbrellas have lifetime warranty. Definitely worth money, I can recommend.

This umbrella is excellent. It is pretty unaffected by winds because of its two layers. It kept me dry in the rain. It can open and close with just the button then you just push the end to compact it back to its small and portable size. It feels really strong and stable.

This is exactly as I ordered. I tested the opening and closing feature and found it worked well. It seems very sturdy and has 9 ribs instead of the usual 8. There were so many umbrellas out there that I searched for an independent source and found that it got great reviews from the New York Times "Wirecutter". It seems very sturdy and will provide ample coverage. I will update my review once I have more information on its performance in rainy weather and if it's long-lasting. The compact manual I had lasted for a very long time, so I hope this one does the same. If not, I did register it for the lifetime warranty.

Out of the box, it looks just fine. It operates well and is large enough. It looks fairly strong. Only time will tell, I guess. In any event, we are satisfied with the construction, operation and quality so far.

I bought this for a three week trip to China and it got extensive usage. Pops open fully on its own with a press of the button, collapses on its own with another press of the button, then just needs to be pulled down to reset the spring. Takes some strength to pull down to close. The handle is not ergonomic but overall the umbrella is compact when closed.

Used this once. Smaller than I thought it would be. Good design. Functions well. Kept me dry. If you’re looking for a small, one person umbrella this is a great option. Haven’t tested it in wind yet tho but it is vented
