Fair Initial Value but Poor to NO warranty Serivce
Size: 100W Panel
I have Zamp portable panels (200W and 80W) and a Zamp 60amp charge controller on an RV. I recently need to expand and thought I’d try Renogy because they are cheaper. I chose these 100W foldables w/o charge controller because I find my 200W panel is tiresome to move due to its bulk. Comparing Renogy to Zamp I’d say the Reonogy is just as good (functionally) and less expensive. I like that Renogy has the handle attached to the panel; Zamp attaches handle to case. I like the folding locks a bit better than Zamp (both work fine). I think the legs Renogy mechanizm is a better design than Zamp but they’re both work ok. I don’t like that Renogy does not provide a cord as Zamp does. In full sun the Renogy panels meet their performance spec. Registration: The registration card indicates one may register online at the ‘Download’ section at the home page. I could find no ‘Download’ section. Search ‘register’ found nothing at their website. Search ‘Download’ did not take me to a download section with registration. Guess I’ll have to mail their cards. The question I have is about service. Zamp’s service is excellent; an knowledgable person answers the phone immediately. I had my 200W panel thrown in the wind and Zamp’s service cost would have been dirt cheap. I decided to get a replacement panel and fix it myself since the damanged panel still worked. Along the way Zamp was completely helpful with repair information. I just NOW called Renogy to see how I would get a replacement panel for a accident. I was on hold maybe 5 minutes and got an agent who kept insisting the damage isn’t covered under warranty. I explained I just want to buy a replacement panel and he explained I couldn’t get it from them and I would not be able to wire the panels. This was all total nonsense. Then I explained I have Zamp and know I can do this and that I am writing this comparison review. THEN he said I could buy a replacement panel and do it myself - just few moments after saying I could not. I don’t know whether this customer service was was in India and the problem was a language barrier or whether he is in the USA. Anyway I’m am not impressed with service given that call. So I decided to continued checking this and I called sales. There is NO replacenment panel that matches this model so this model is NOT replairable. One has to replace the whole unit. Wind damage is a very real possibility for RVers. When I get more panels for the roof of my RV I will likely go back to Zamp and pay extra since I ‘know’ their service is excellent, but for the initial price Renogy is fine. Wind damage is a very real threat to RVers. Given the unit is not repairable (replacement panels) I would not buy another Renogy product. I give this product 1 stars due to the handling of my customer service inquiry and the fact that one cannot repair this panel w/o replacing the whole unit. Early Summer 2019, still under warranty, but alas NO service. The unit blew a diode

Quality control issues?
Size: 100W Panel
Not sure if this is reflection on the product. I've had good success with Renogy products in the past. I ordered two of these units and both arrived damaged and defective. The first unit only output 50 Watts in full sun. Also there was a brad missing on one of the clasps, which makes the clasp quite loose. The second unit output the full 100 w, but both clasps were deformed, basically useless. The unit will not stay closed untill put in hard case. I expected better and I'm very disappointed.

Paired with Jackery Portable Power Station...Excellent!
Size: 100W Panel
I ordered another brand of 100w solar suitcase because it was about $100 cheaper... well you get less than you pay for! It came in a damaged box with no protections, and it was evident that it was already return - dents in the panel, missing parts etc. I immediately returned it (thanks Amazon for making full refunds so easy) and ordered this suitcase. From the shipping packaging, to the case, to the heft and durability to my peace-of-mind that this will last me for a long time this was so well worth the extra funds! I had already purchased a Jackery 240w Portable Power Station (I love it!), and found that this adaptor (Upgraded- MC4 Solar to 8mm Adapter Cable 48") worked perfectly for blending the suitcase to the Jackery power station beautifully - and simply. I could not be happier with my power situation at this time. Thanks!

Solid Performance and Quality Build
Size: 100W Panel
Set this Renogy 100watt “suitcase” panel up in my driveway, immediately produced 103 watts which is better than my Rich Solar rigid panels in the same ideal conditions (90-93w max). I tried 100watt and 120watt soft folding panels off amazon and they each barely produced over 60 watts in the same ideal conditions. This Renogy is a nice quality suitcase panel with quality latches, good rack system, and the padded case is nice too, (though it would be great if the added a shoulder strap to the case). I’d give 5 stars but it is a bit on the heavy side. But I suppose that’ll be a plus in windy conditions. Overall I highly recommend this panel 👍🏽👍🏽

Voyager controller doesn't go to 14.2V with LiFePO4 battery.
Size: 100W Panel
I bought the Renogy solar suitcase with the voyage controller several years ago to charge AGM batteries. It did that very well. I then added the suitcase without the controller to increase the current. It also did that well. However, when I upgraded to a LiFepo4 battery the 14.2V required for balancing lithium batteries was never achieved. Several email communications did not resolve the issue before Renogy stopped responding to my questions. The best I can tell through both email or phone calls the customer support people read off of a set responses and if that doesn't fix the problem they stop helping you.
