I ordered this item for the neighbor's kids since they had just put in a new in ground pool. This item was a hit with them and they play with it all the time in the pool. The recharging is easy and thank goodness for that because they would be going through a lot of batteries as much as this toy gets used. Recommend.

The kids were excited for this toy, but unscrewing the 4 screws took awhile because the provided screwdriver just doesn't seem to do a good job of latching on or maybe it's too small for the screws itself. I don't want to screw/unscrew it so often because I don't want it to strip, but it does include a couple of extra propellers and screws in the event this happens - which it very likely will. The instructions do say that the shark will only work in water, so after submerging it into the water it did work for a bit, but I wanted to check to see if any water is getting in and sure enough, there was some water in the battery area. Not flooding, but still enough for me to find another screwdriver and tighten it to the max never knowing if I'll even be able to unscrew it again at this point. Perhaps adding something like a silicone ring to it will prevent water from seeping in as I don't see any other preventative measures for a water toy. When working, it is very fun for the kids and considering the lack of RC water toys availability/durability, in this price range this is reasonable enough with some tweaks on the parents part.

This remote control shark is a total win for our family. My kids lose interest quickly with most toys, but they played with this for over 30 minutes and wanted to play with it again the next day. 🎉 We have a pretty large pool, but the shark and remote have stayed connected with no issues. It’s not just a straight-line swimmer either—it has some nice flexibility, so it moves around "realistically". Bonus: we haven’t even had to recharge the battery yet. If you’re looking for a pool toy that’s fun, easy to use, and keeps kids happy, this one’s a great pick!

The joystick controls different parts of the shark, creating surprisingly realistic movements. Playing in the pool with it is a lot of fun, as kids can dodge the shark and perform imaginative escape maneuvers. This toy was easy to assemble, though a few adjustments were needed.

This is a cute remote-control shark for the little ones. It is easy to control and doesn't go super-fast, making it ideal for younger children. The buttons have me scratching my head. The directional buttons make sense. But then there's a printer button and a button with an unrecognizable icon. The listing says the printer button can be programmed and the other one is a demo mode. When I press either button, it does nothing. In fact, I need to turn off the remote control entirely and turn it back on to regain control (a star lost for that). Second star lost because first one I received didn't include the rechargeable battery for the shark (you provide the AA batteries for the remote). Second one I received included the battery, charger, screwdriver, and instructions in one bag.

My son has really gotten into sharks lately, and he has been asking for shark toys. He was so excited to open this. The swimming motion is amazing, and the shark itself is a good size. So far, this has been perfect!
