This is a quality inflatable alien costume. The fan functions, which is more than I can say for some other inflatable costumes, where the fan is busted on arrival. It runs on 4x AA batteries which are NOT included. The battery pack is equipped with a belt clip, and there's also a pouch inside the costume that you can slide it into. There's a zipper on the back of the alien. You step into the costume, zip it up and fire up the fan. Elastic at the ankles and wrists will prevent too much air from escaping, so the costume retains its shape, so long as the fan is on. The smaller size costume (ages 4-6) is still just large enough to fit my 7-year-old. This will definitely work for kids up to 48" tall, and even a little taller. My son is about 51" and 60 lbs. I would prefer the larger size, but that option wasn't available to me. This should work for Halloween, where Dad will have the same costume, but my son will outgrow it soon enough. ... show more

My daughter looked so cute in this. She's 4 and it fit her perfectly. Simple to put on and stayed inflated really well. Maybe I'm overthinking what I expect from a costume like this but the fingers on the alien that are grasping the kid don't inflate well and don't look believable. Maybe stuffing them with some fluff or something would help. ... show more
