The media could not be loaded. After purchasing a Sonos Ray soundbar, I was disappointed to discover that it wasn't compatible with my TV or Google Chrome remotes. I downloaded the app and used it for the first few months, but found it frustrating to rely on my phone to adjust the volume. Even worse, I often had to get up and adjust the volume manually if I wasn't near the phone. I read the very few reviews for this remote and reluctantly ordered it. I was not convinced, so I ordered a used one at a discounted price (in case it didn't work). Surprisingly, the control looked good and worked right out of the bag. It is a basic remote, and the clicks are a little loud, but I also found that it is best to keep the button pressed to regulate the volume instead of clicking multiple times. Overall, the control works well. It is not very intuitive, but it does the job. It was pricy for what it does (volume up, volume down, mute), but it is more practical for me to use the remote vs. using my phone or walking to the soundbar over and over again. I don't regret the purchase, but if it continues to work well, I won't hesitate to replace it with a brand new unit. For now, if you need to control a Sonos Ray volume and don't need anything else, this one is worth the effort.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this item to work with my Sonos Ray soundbar, after realizing that my smartTV remote won't operate the volume on it because it connects to your TV via optical cable, and is limited to using IR remotes for controlling the volume and play features. So, this remote does the job for controlling the volume on my Ray soundbar, but holy hell, the buttons are so loud when you press them. The controller does volume up, down, and pauses play, but for the limited function of this remote, it should really be much cheaper. I took of stars for how loud the buttons are and how expensive it is for such a basic remote.

So I needed a remote for my Sonos bar. This one was the right price. When first opening I wasn't very happy with the range and it didn't seem to register button presses well. I replaced the cheap battery in it with a better Energizer brand battery and now it works great. It does feel "cheaper" than my original remote. The plastic case is lightweight, but as long as it works I am happy. Setup was a breeze. Turned on IR in my Sonos App settings and that was all that needed done.

This device IR sometimes works on press of up/down and sometimes doesn’t requires multiple presses to get volume to go up or down. Upon putting pressure over the battery area/cap it seems to work better.
