The remote worked without having to sync to my Samsung tv right out of the box. Two buttons don’t work though. It’s the “Samsung TV Plus” and the “Disney+” buttons. I then tried to sync to my Samsung tv which worked very easily. Sadly this didn’t fix the problem.

My 3-year old Samsung remote got to the point where it wouldn't hold a charge anymore, and worked only when connected to a charging cable. Ordered this one yesterday and received it today! Very impressive. No programming required. Has a substantial feel to it and fits my hand better. The pushbuttons feel just right. And of course it uses AA batteries so won't die on you in a few years like devices with non-replaceable rechargeable batteries. Update: Well, after using it for a few days, I have to say it has a major problem. Most of the time I have to push the center button twice to get the program to pause or resume. Same is true to a lesser extent for the fast forward and rewind buttons. However, the power, home, Netflix, and Amazon buttons seem to work on the first click every time. Sad, because it has a lot of good things going for it.
