Bought the remote as a replacement for a Samsung Q80 LED TV that we've had for at least 6 years. Pretty identical design to the original so it was easy for my mother to use it as she was used to the old one. This remote though, has a clicking sound when u press the selection button. The other style did not. The volume buttons are the same bar style type where you push it up or down. No programming was needed just a simple battery insert and worked immediately. No light up. Very light and small.

I first bought one of these in January. The one that came with my 75" Onn TV for my business wasn't that great- It was mounted high up on the wall and the angle had to be just right for the stock remote to work. When this new remote came in, I charged it overnight and used it the next day. Connecting was easy and it work great. And I have yet to have need to recharge it. I have since bought two more for home and they work just as well.

I bought these as replacements for my LG remotes, and they worked right out of the box—no setup or programming needed. That alone made it worth it. All the core functions worked immediately with my LG TV, including power, volume, input, and menu navigation. The layout is very similar to the original remote, so there’s basically no learning curve. Response time is solid and range is good. I don’t have to aim perfectly for it to register, which is nice. Build quality is what you’d expect for a replacement—lightweight plastic, but it doesn’t feel cheap. Buttons have a decent click and haven’t had any issues so far. The only thing missing compared to the original is some of the more advanced or smart features, depending on your model, but for everyday use it covers everything most people need. Overall, if you have an LG TV and just need a reliable replacement remote without dealing with setup, this is an easy choice.

Great alternative to the solar powered remote that came with my new TV (solar powered does not work well in the northwest). The only thing I didn’t realize was there is no microphone for searches. That’s a bummer but, oh well.

This remote is better than the original Samsung remote in every possible way. Thanks to it's flat, rectangular shape, It has a normal battey compartment. (Thank God). The button action is crisp. It's lighter as it uses 2 AAA batteries instead of 2 AA batteries. Also, I think the beam spread is better because you don't have find some "special" angle to to get the tv to respond. It doesn't come with the two AAA batteries it needs. Works out-of-the-box, it doesn't need programming.
