I got it because I live in a cold climate and during winters, the slight parasitic drain on the battery combined with the cold will completely kill the battery. This does work as advertised but it requires a constant supply of voltage in order to turn on when the button on the remote is pressed. This was easy to install and the included instructions were adequate to successfully install. For me this is useful if the vehicle you are placing it on is regularly used, if it sits for a long time this could potentially drain your battery over a long enough time. ... show more
