This flat iron heats up very quickly and has the option to change the temperature. The only issue I have is that I have fine, thin hair and I have to really squeeze the end of the iron to grip my hair while it's in there or it just falls out... I used it to give my hair a wave rather than using it to straighten. I imagine this would work really well for thicker hair but thinner hair beware. Keeping it, because I need it for immediate use for work, so I'll just get used to it. ... show more

I specifically purchased the 1/2 for my post chemo curly hair. It’s still very short but just long enough that I felt like this might work. It worked great! I blow dried my hair out first and the went over it with this straightener and it worked great.
