I originally bought the Remarkable 2 bundle with the cloth cover, which works just fine. This "leather" case went on sale, and I jumped. It's nice, but there are a few things to note. First, although it says that it is "premium leather," it is hard to tell whether that means "genuine leather" or "real" leather. the material has a very fine grain that looks so consistent and perfect that I think it was printed or molded. It is not in the least bit soft like good leather should be, and it is just as hard as the cloth cover. When I smell it, there is only a hint of leather scent, and that is inconsistent - sometimes it just smells like plastic. Lastly, the wrap around is very stiff. So stiff that you cannot lay the tablet down level when the top cover is folded underneath, which is something the cloth cover does perfectly. Despite that, it looks nice and offers the same protection as the cloth cover. It is certainly functional. I doubt it is going to scratch. Time will tell whether it develops some kind of patina, but I am skeptical. Something tells me that, with a little Windex, it can be refurbished to factor fresh in no time. ... show more
