  • HOSE LOCATION at Head of Bed Also Compatible with Side-Hose Beds Using Included Connectors: The REM Air Chamber includes a 5-foot hose positioned at the head of the bed. For Sleep Number or other air beds with a side-mounted hose, use the included male-to-female connector to join your existing hose to the REM Air Chamber hose. Depending on your current hose length, this can extend the reach to run from the head of the bed along the side to your pump location. For side-hose setups, measure from the head of your air chamber to the pump location to ensure the combined hose length is sufficient. If additional length is needed, extra hoses are available separately.

All REM AIR System Chambers are double sealed with 1.23" seams for extra reinforcement and strength. Additionally, the kink resistant hoses improve the life of your pump and provide longevity and reliability. The Cross Box & Baffle Design of this air chamber allows you to be evenly supported from head to toe and side to side. Regardless of your sleep number level, you will be provided with ultimate comfort. The included REM Air System Quick Lock Connectors hook instantly into your pump, providing a tight seal. The easy connectors are equipped with a stop leak valve that allows you to disconnect the included heavy duty, anti-kink hose (3/8" ID) from the pump without losing air.

This item was perfectly flawless.... The mattress fabric feels at least twice as thick as the original mattress and it fit perfectly. No Issues. The hose and connection kit that is included was so ridiculously east to install. Just a note, one of the hose connectors belongs on the bed side of the hose and the other on the pump side. It would work just fine if they are reversed but if I understand correctly the correct bed side connector stops air from getting out of the mattress if the hose is disconnected. I'd recommend this product and I would absolutely buy it again if I ever needed to. I truly don't know what they could have done better. Keep in mind some beds and models may have different hose sizes that may need an adapter from a hardware store but it fit mine perfectly. Totally Satisfied !! ... show more

    • Fixed My Sleep Number!

Have a SN 20+ years. My side (of course) of the bed started losing air and then not level. Next a bulge in the middle. Need my SN but cost of replacement is expensive. Choice of this REM or $100 more for the OEM from SN's site. Will not buy a used mattress. The design is different from the OEM's and was a small concern. Swapped with defective bladder. Replaced the quick-connect connector on the SN's hose with the newly supplied connector. Attached the hose ends. Pumped to 50% then rezipped bed covers back. After making bed completely, pumped up to 80%. Mattress is holding air and flat and solid! Took a total of 15min to complete the replacement. ZERO difference from OEM mattress. Need a firm mattress and now I'm back in business!! SO nice to sleep again (2nd night on new). The new mattress is as "beefy" as the OEM. All materials look to be of upper quality and mattress is rock solid after 80% full. VERY pleased with purchase. Not sure if it will last another 20 years but as of now, perfect replacement for sleep number traditional air chamber. Very pleased with purchase. Received in perfect condition and item works perfectly. Thanks again. ... show more

    • New REM verses 30 year Old Select Comfort

We have a select comfort bed that we have had for over 30 years. The bladder started to separate and bulge. Called company and they stated a price about double what the REM system was saying they no longer made it and would have to send off to another company to replace it. We got the REM mattress and as stated if fit great into the old slot where the original was located. The down side is that the REM is not as high as the original one causing a slight hump between the mattress in the California king bed of about 1 inch. not a deal breaker but a disappointment that I will have to live with. Also the mattress seems to be a little more unstable when turning over than the old one. Would probably buy again if I had to do it over. ... show more

My husband and I have two sleep number beds; one in our master bedroom, and one in our fifth wheel camper. They’re super comfortable, and we love them, but sleep number customer service has left so much to be desired. This is now the second time Silver Fish/REM Air has saved me from extreme aggravation. Last fall, we moved, and during the move, one of the quick connect clips on our air hoses broke, making our mattress useless. I immediately called SN customer service, explained that the only thing broken was the $0.2 piece of grey plastic in the quick connect clip, and asked them to overnight the replacement. They say they can’t just send me the clip, but have to send me the entire hose setup. Ok, fine. First email has it shipping to the wrong address, and that gets fixed. In the meantime, we ordered connectors from Silver Fish, fearing the worst from SN. We get the parts from Silver Fish, two-day Prime, and it works perfectly, and we’re back to sleeping like babies in our bed. A couple weeks later, we get the “replacement” from SN, only to find that they’ve sent us a brand new pump, which in no way addresses our issue. I didn’t even bother calling back after this... we just swapped out the pumps, and returned the “defective” old one that we really had no issue at all with. Now the R5 mattress we have in our camper is losing air in one air chamber only, and I’m able to determine that the air leak is directly from the rubber seal around the hose, so I call SN trying to get the replacement chamber. They’ve given me the run around because I bought their product, which they allow camping world to sell, and they have no record of my purchase. I’ve emailed the receipt from camping world three times, as they requested, but somehow they can’t find it. Needless to say, I’m again frustrated with their terrible customer service, and wound up turning to a Silver Fish for a replacement. This mattress is a touch shorter than the original air chamber for my R5, which I now realize is because SN uses a Cal King chamber in their R5, not a regular king. I honestly think that’s part of the problem since the longer chamber forces the hose connection against the headboard In the camper, and I believe that tight squeeze is what caused the leak in the first place. I put an old towel in the end to fill the mattress cover, and this also protects the connection point in my REM air chamber, so hopefully I won’t run into the same issue. This air chamber doesn’t have the zipper to connect it to the other side, and prevent any separation, but it holds the air, and that’s really what I needed. My bed required a male end on the mattress end of the hose, but I happened to have one laying around from the spare parts we ordered for our home mattress, so we were able to swap that out no trouble. Silver Fish did follow up and offer the part, though, which was really nice. I’m still going to call SN back and hassle them to give me my replacement, but as we are going on a trip and needed the part quickly, this was an excellent alternative. Saved money and I honestly like it better than the oem air mattress. I like a firm setting and this square grid pattern is more comfortable than the previous wide rectangles. I have had it for a few months now and it has held its air/setting number perfectly with simple installation. So if u want to save $$’s this is a great way to do so.
