Arrived quickly, packaged well, nice letter with contact info if you have difficulty installing. The instructions could be clearer, but we figured out that we had to cut the old connection hose just behind the connector, insert the new one provided and secure with a zip tie as was suggested on the brief instruction sheet, then we could connect the provided valve which snaps in place easily. No leaks! The fit was good except our old nautilus chamber insert is 7 inches high and the REM and all others I looked at, are only 6 inche high. We put a twin bed mattress topper, purchased on Amazon separately, underneath the REM Air System and that corrected the height difference. Sleeps firmly and looks like nothing was changed. Hopefully, the chamber on the other side of this king bed will not fail--it is over 30 yrs old, so it might, but if it does we know how to repair it with this great REM product. It has been 3 days since we installed it. Who knows maybe it will last 30 years, too!

My husband and I have two sleep number beds; one in our master bedroom, and one in our fifth wheel camper. They’re super comfortable, and we love them, but sleep number customer service has left so much to be desired. This is now the second time Silver Fish/REM Air has saved me from extreme aggravation. Last fall, we moved, and during the move, one of the quick connect clips on our air hoses broke, making our mattress useless. I immediately called SN customer service, explained that the only thing broken was the $0.2 piece of grey plastic in the quick connect clip, and asked them to overnight the replacement. They say they can’t just send me the clip, but have to send me the entire hose setup. Ok, fine. First email has it shipping to the wrong address, and that gets fixed. In the meantime, we ordered connectors from Silver Fish, fearing the worst from SN. We get the parts from Silver Fish, two-day Prime, and it works perfectly, and we’re back to sleeping like babies in our bed. A couple weeks later, we get the “replacement” from SN, only to find that they’ve sent us a brand new pump, which in no way addresses our issue. I didn’t even bother calling back after this... we just swapped out the pumps, and returned the “defective” old one that we really had no issue at all with. Now the R5 mattress we have in our camper is losing air in one air chamber only, and I’m able to determine that the air leak is directly from the rubber seal around the hose, so I call SN trying to get the replacement chamber. They’ve given me the run around because I bought their product, which they allow camping world to sell, and they have no record of my purchase. I’ve emailed the receipt from camping world three times, as they requested, but somehow they can’t find it. Needless to say, I’m again frustrated with their terrible customer service, and wound up turning to a Silver Fish for a replacement. This mattress is a touch shorter than the original air chamber for my R5, which I now realize is because SN uses a Cal King chamber in their R5, not a regular king. I honestly think that’s part of the problem since the longer chamber forces the hose connection against the headboard In the camper, and I believe that tight squeeze is what caused the leak in the first place. I put an old towel in the end to fill the mattress cover, and this also protects the connection point in my REM air chamber, so hopefully I won’t run into the same issue. This air chamber doesn’t have the zipper to connect it to the other side, and prevent any separation, but it holds the air, and that’s really what I needed. My bed required a male end on the mattress end of the hose, but I happened to have one laying around from the spare parts we ordered for our home mattress, so we were able to swap that out no trouble. Silver Fish did follow up and offer the part, though, which was really nice. I’m still going to call SN back and hassle them to give me my replacement, but as we are going on a trip and needed the part quickly, this was an excellent alternative. Thanks for the excellent customer service, and quality replacement parts!

This is a good quality replacement for a 25 + year old Select Comfort air bladder. We have a king size and replacement parts from the manufacturer are super high priced. This one was about 1/4 of the price and just as good.
