I bought this ladder in black. It's painted black properly and none of this slap-happy paint jobs I've seen on another item I ordered back when from another buyer. They called it "farm house look" or something like that. I have arthritis throughout so things are difficult to put together but I sat on the couch and watched the video and proceeded to put the ladder together without a glitch. It comes with 2 extra screws, felt tips to not scratch the floor,or wall, and black stickers to cover the screws for a beautiful finish without seeing screw holes. It comes with a nice tool to screw the screws in with. The tool has a nice handle but, with arthritis, I just wish the handle was a bit longer for me to grip easier. Not the company's fault; just my own wish. The ladder has 6 rods for hanging. Leans against the wall very nicely. Is just what I wanted and I'm grateful for the smooth paint job, no shaggy wood pieces hanging, the convenient added tool, the added felt tips and screw cover stickers. Very nice additions to the package. Now..... if only the 3rd bulb worked. ... show more

I make a lot of quilts (mostly to give away) so the cabinet I keep them in got too full. A friend had an old ladder that her husband had refinished for her and her quilts look great on it, so I decided to get one. I hesitated on getting this one because the photo shows the hinges as black (on the white ladder). I figured I could just paint the hinges if I needed to, so I bought this one. The hinges are white and don't show unless you look for them. Putting it together was pretty hard until I went & got my power drill to screw in the nails. Got it all together in about an hour. It stands away from the wall about 21" which was a bit farther than I thought it would so I had to change my intended location. This ladder is very sturdy for it's intended use and I'm happy I got it. ... show more

I have three blankets on mine currently and the non-slip pads are horrible. Essentially, the non-slip pads do great at grubbing the floor but the adhesive that sticks them to the ladder is cheap. The pad grips the floor as expected but the ladder slides off the pad. I’ll have to go to a hardware store and get better pads. The screw covers given are also oversized and a while different shade of brown than the ladder itself so you just see two huge circles every foot or so which looks weird. ... show more

It’s nice. Serves the purpose. Cheaply made. The “stickers” for the covers of the screws don’t stay on. But other than that it’s cute and wide for larger blankets. Would buy again.

One segment of the upright, hinged part came installed upside down (see photos). It was a relatively easy fix- we just unscrewed the hinge and flipped the board- but it’s a flaw QC should have caught. The ladder comes with a small tool to use as a screwdriver, but it’s uncomfortable and impractical. We used a power screwdriver which made assembly quick and easy. We ordered white, but this is definitively an off-white or cream, with light tan streaks to simulate woodgrain. It’s not unattractive, but if you need a true white, you won’t be happy with this. The photos show the color against my white baseboard as well as the white hinges on the ladder itself. ... show more
