Works just fine. I popped a 2.5" SATA drive from an old non-functioning Dell laptop, slipped it into the enclosure, and now I have a spare external drive. Several have indicated that the case is difficult to open. The trick is to open it using your flat palm and pushing back on it. Opens easily that way for me. My only small complaint is heat dissipation. No grill or openings to release heat, but that may not be a factor if you're just using it for quick storage transfers. ... show more

I bought this for a 2.5" HDD that I took from an old laptop! the initial look on the make of the enclosure felt not very sturdy! but it is adequate for its job! no instruction on how to take the case apart! luckily in AMazon the website shows a video! I was so afriad to break the clear case .. instruction does show how to and I manage to slide the case open and installation is a breeze! no tools needed! close it a it works! All good! ... show more
