Description

The mounting kit makes it possible to install the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III & Liquid Freezer III Pro on LGA1700 sockets even without the included ARCTIC Contact Frame. However, this is not recommended. Intel’s Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM) can deform the CPU by pressing it into the socket at two points with over 40 kg. With high thermal loads, this can lead to problems and reduced cooling performance in the long term. Therefore, we recommend using the included Contact Frame for all Liquid Freezer III & Liquid Freezer III Pro models. Compatible with: ARCTIC, a leading manufacturer of PC coolers and components, initiated and continues to shape the trend towards quiet cooling systems.

I searched for this mounting kit for at least a month with no progress i tried everywhere and no one was selling it i went onto the manufactures website and they lead me to an amazon page that said out of stock man was i disappointed i couldnt connect my 1200 lga motherboard to my brothers new cooler without this kit but i just couldn't find it i got so desperate i was looking at places in other country's only to find out most don't deliver to the us other than some very roundabout ways which would have cost me an arm and a leg i was about to just sell the brand new liquid cooler 3 pro 360 and than someone told me to try and message the people who make it i said no way sites like that wont respond to me why would they when they are making new things for better computers i think im up the river on this one and they told me to just give it a shot and if after like a month they dont respond than and only than sell that cooler at a lose and make something back but at this point you have nothing to lose right i said fine. so i did i messaged and emailed the people at artic and to my surprise they did respond it took a bit of back and forth but after showing them i did buy the product the cooler in question and was wiling to buy the mounting kit i just needed a good link they told em wait a week and than you can buy it from out amazon link and they weren't lying it was 30$ with like 30$ shipping but i didnt care this was great i was going to be able to get my brothers new cooler hooked up and working i was over the moon about it. It shipped out to me wrap like it was being sent to the front lines but it was secure and it was in perfect condition that's all i truly cared about. The bracket wasn't easy to get onto my mother board I think it may have been just because of the specific motherboard I have i tried to follow the included qr code for the guide but it only got me so far i ended up having to do it a different way to get it on instead of putting the bracket on the cooler before screwing it in to board i had to screw one brackets on the cooler and the other on my board and turn it a bit force hard down while screwing it in and it worked it took awhile for me to finally a line the cooler and brackets with the tiny screws and holes it was such a pain but totally worth it. i am very happy with the customer service and than the product works the way it was intended little brother is very happy at great temps and having what was bought for him finally in his machine thank you guys. ... show more

Worked great! I already had a contact frame installed on my Z690 (LGA1700) board so I used this instead of the Liquid Freezer III Pro included frame/bracket.

Like the description says, if, like me you have an 1151 motherboard, this kit allows you mount an amazing Arctic cooler to your i7 or i9. Installation was super easy, and I very pleased with how my i9 9900k is being cooled.

    • does not fit LG 1150
Don't expect this to actually work. It came missing one of the rubber washer for the back of the mother board. I got a replacement. I mounted the plate in the back first with one side up, then the other, it simply doesn't fit an LGA 1150 cpu socket. It fit the mother board fine, but one one of the two rails you install to then screw in the plate is a full 1/8 of an inch too low to make contact with screw on that side.
