I took a star away because it was a major pain to put this together. Some holes didn’t align properly so we had to drill new ones. Good thing we had the right tools. I figured it’d be easier to drill some new holes than trying to return this big heavy crate. It looks great, is sturdy and is very spacious. My dog is a 6 month old 48 lb Aussie and has plenty of room to grow. I would have given this crate 5 starts but it really was frustrating putting it together before realizing it’s not your fault, and its manufactured incorrectly! Overall it's a great crate. Pretty sturdy (although when I sat inside to attached the top, I noticed bending in the middle under my weight because the side metal pieces do not attach to the bottom) and looks great. I should have read more of the reviews but the dimensions provided are for the outside. The inside was quite smaller. I bought the large 40.2" one thinking it was the same size as the wire crate, but the inside measurements came out to 26.75" height x 37.75" length x 26.75" depth. I was thinking about returning it for the larger size, but it costs $60 to return and since I had partially put it together before realizing it was too small, I didn't want to pay that $60 just to have them say it looked used. I was eventually going to buy a second one for my other dog, so I decided to keep it and also order another larger one. ... show more

I really needed a durable crate for my pitty the last one I got he hurt him self pretty bad trying to escape. This product was very easy to put together and I really like the steel and the reenforcement bar that lays laterally around the sides. The fur baby does well in this and I really enjoy how well it fits in my home both with looks and with the overall size (I bought the large). I love the wood top. It’s think and looks beautiful. It took myself and another to put it together. I think it took us thirty minutes. It’s is very hardy and holds our German Shorthair Pointer Boston Terrier and mini dachshund with room for more. I ordered the large. We recently adopted a 35lb mix from the shelter, and had her in a wire collapsible kennel initially. This kennel contained my 100pb shepherd but the tiny dog destroyed it, chewing through wires and escaping in the first hour. We got this kennel 6 days ago, and she hasn’t so much as bent the latch. Needed a good crate for my malinois puppy. I’m very pleased with both the look as well as how sturdy it is. This should last thru her whole life. The hinges and latches are awesome. Not weak at all. I like the added spring stops to keep the one door closed if you choose. Was fairly easy to put together by myself, instructions were easy to read and understand.
