I have two small dogs and you would think that small dogs really don’t do much damage but I am here to tell you otherwise. Especially, if one of them is a puppy and naturally chews, behaving like a terrible two-year old. With that said, my chihuahua and pomchi mix (mom+son) both need to be crated, especially my pomchi puppy because he cannot be trusted whatsoever to be left alone. I’ve spent money on two previous crates that he’s destroyed, so this time I scoured the internet for various styles of dog crates, this time, steel. After reading countless reviews, looking at different styles and types, I came across this steel crate. At first, I was a little hesitant because the reviews are mixed, some good, some bad, much to the same complaint about the holes being misaligned during assembly, etc. After sitting on this specific style for several days, I looked at other options but kept coming back to this one because I like the look of it and its functionality, which is important. I decided to take a chance and bought this crate despite the reviews and I’m here to give you a helpful review should you consider this for yourself. As I’ve mentioned, I have two small dogs, but I personally do not like small sized crates because this just doesn’t work well for dogs with separation anxiety, or anxiety in general. Additionally, small size crates just irritate me because of a lack of space, so in my case, for both dogs, I bought the 42” size. Yes, you read that right - the largest option for two tiny dogs because space is important. Here’s the 411: 1. The crate is steel if you didn’t know, and heavy. I expected this, in fact, I actually expected some form of disappointment based on some of negative reviews I’ve seen but I have this product the benefit of doubt. Now, I live in an apartment and it fits perfectly in my limited space. 2. I chose the white/natural color because I really wanted a crate that wasn’t the typical black/brown or gray/silver colors. It’s much better looking in person. 3. Assembly was actually very easy but it does take 2 people to assemble it because in order for the holes to align accurately with the bolts and screws where needed, a second person needs to hold each panel piece steady to prevent misalignment. Additionally, you don’t want to fully tighten all of bolts/screws, just position them enough to hold the all of the pieces together; then collectively tighten all of the bolts/screws afterwards. Side note, it’s not impossible to assemble by yourself but it will be a little challenging so to make it easier on you, have someone help you. 4. The crate is very solid and my puppy cannot chew their way out of this one if he tried. No dog can really. PROS: I love this crate, the size I choose may be naturally big for others but for my two dogs, it gives them space to move around in, and it’s the best one I’ve bought. I love that the bottom floor is structured flooring making it more stable for dogs, and a huge plus for any owner who hates the cheap plastic potty trays for those boring metal crates. That alone was one of the reasons why I bought this one. It is more aesthetically pleasing and looks clean/chic, and I love the 3-door design, as well as the locking mechanisms for the doors that create such ease. And lastly, the adjustable legs is fabulous. CONS: In my honest opinion, there are none. Overall, my experience with this crate is a 10/10. My dogs love their new space. I bought a dog bed that takes up half of one side while keeping a washable pee pad and their food dishes for open access. So, if you come across this crate and find yourself curious or hesitant, take a chance. You’ll be glad you did. I think your only conflict will be choosing the color for you. Haha. ... show more

I took a star away because it was a major pain to put this together. Some holes didn’t align properly so we had to drill new ones. Good thing we had the right tools. I figured it’d be easier to drill some new holes than trying to return this big heavy crate. It looks great, is sturdy and is very spacious. My dog is a 6 month old 48 lb Aussie and has plenty of room to grow. I would have given this crate 5 starts but it really was frustrating putting it together before realizing it’s not your fault, and its manufactured incorrectly! I asked my dog what he thought of it and unfortunately i didn’t get an answer. I like it though. 😊 ... show more

These dog crates are absolutely beautiful. They are high quality and easy to assemble. We bought 3 and didn't have any issue with any holes lining up as I have seen in previous reviews. I also had to contact the seller because I messed up a bottom panel. Even though it was clearly my fault, they sent a new one anyway! I really wanted a crate that was stylish and didn’t stick out too much. This is absolutely perfect! We put our kitty litter box on the top and it makes it so the dogs can’t get to it. Our dog absolutely destroyed the normal wire crate we had her in, but this is sturdy and comfortable so she doesn’t even try to escape. ... show more

This was everything I was expecting. Heavy, durable. Big enough to fit my 80 lb. Lab/boxer mix. We ended up taking the door off because my dog just uses it as her doggie den to escape. I don’t think the metal bars would hold back a growing teething puppy. The metal does bend a bit if tighten bolts too hard. Works for what I need it for! ... show more

We purchased this crate in hopes that our 75lb dog would not break it escaping when we are at work and it thunders (she is afraid of storms - even with prescription medicine from the vet so freaks out). We have gone through several crates trying to find one that can withstand. Well, we had a storm while at work and our dog tried her best to brake out - the crate held up amazingly!!! Our dog decided to try to dig her way out when she couldn’t break the crate doors and destroyed the wood part of the crate. I contacted customer service to see what the cost would be to replace that part - not only did they replace it for me but we had it at our home in less than a week and free of charge!!! Needless to say, we are going to buy a plastic liner to put over the new bottom to prevent this from happening again. Wonderful product and FANTASTIC customer service!!!
