We used the rod to hang 90" velvet drapes in a 37" wide opening at the bottom of the stairs. We hope it will keep the heat downstairs in the winter. The velvet drapes have rod pocket head(Diameter: 3"). I adjusted the position of the rod many times, trying to find the sweet spot so the drapes would hang nicely around the end of the handrail and leave very little airway for heat to pass through. It has enough spring tension to move the rod around without it being so stiff. If there had not been enough tension, then I would not have been able to move it around so much. Yes, we recommend it. The drapes glide back and forth perfectly.

After being clunked in the head by so many faulty shower curtains rods, I decided to give this tension rod a try after my sister bragged about hers that she used as a room divider. So, I gave this item a try. It was easy to assemble, and the tension is a great factor with the push/pins that snap in place when you determine the length. It has stayed in place for 2 weeks and has not shown any signs of "sliding" down the shower wall. I plan to order two more rods to replace my current shower curtain rods.

I’m very impressed by this product. We currently have it outside in our porch and it is holding heavy curtains (3 panels). We live in windy Florida and it has stayed in place without screws or nails. It was just what we needed!

Bought this rod for my patio curtains in which I sewed heavy chains in the hems to reduce them blowing in the wind. It had to stretch 118" and hold 4 -96" curtains each with 4lb weighted hems-16 lbs total. Was only up for two days when severe storms moved in with 65-70mph wind gusts. The curtains blew freely like they weren't even weighted, but the rod didn't budge. Very sturdy, easy to assemble , no sagging, looks great, and Impressively strong! This was a great purchase- highly recommend!
