Even though my window is within the measurement range of the tension rod, it doesn't fit because of its poor design. With the extension piece on, and the spring twisted all the way in, it's far too long. With the extension piece off, the spring piece doesn't extend far enough. It passes the "Stop here" sticker and then isn't sturdy enough to stay up. Don't buy if the width of your space is 39.25 inches. ... show more

This works for what I needed it for, just a small stall sized shower curtain liner. I wouldn't depend on it to hold a cloth shower curtain that would be heavier. It is flimsy and somewhat bows in the center and I only have a short 36 inch size opening to install it in.
