Let me first say our eyes are NOT the same...clearly which products are best will vary to some degree, even if there are products that tend to be better versus worst. For example, Sustain products burn my eyes even though Sustain makes excellent quality products. I like this because it is part-gel and part-liquid...it's easier to work with than a gel, but it stays better in place and last longer than a thinner liquid. It IS contact safe although it is not advertised for contacts (I verified this with the maker) and it is the strongest product they make that is safe for contact usage while contacts are being worn. My eyes are reasonably dry and dryer during allergy season. Many drops work to relieve the dryness, but they just don't last very long and I find myself using the products too often. These last a lot longer. In the morning, if my eyes are dry, I take my contacts out, put a drop on the inside, put them back in, put one more drop on the outside, and I am fine for the rest of the day. I also like the ingredients...based on what my eye doctor has told me, the ingredients in the Refresh Liquigels are more on the desirable side rather than the undesirable side, and what goes into them is ideal for someone using eye drops on a long-term basis, with a proven and accepted safety record. Given the risks now known with some brand eye drops, I consider this to be a very important criteria for what I put into my eyes (as they are kinda important afterall...) So I think for many this may be more extended relief than many of the conventional products, and it is certainly worth a try! ... show more
