I got this for my son for his 8th birthday and he absolutely loves it. It's easy to use and is a really fun and cute idea. The problem is that when the safe is open it makes a beeping sound. Maybe that would be useful if it was a real safe, but it's a toy so we really don't need an alarm. It beeps every few seconds whenever the darn thing is open and there's no way to turn it off. I expected this bank to make noise when coins and bills are inserted like the ones I grew up with but the coin slot is just a slot and the bill slot does pull in the dollars but without any noise.
