  • So far so good!
Just got it yesterday and I love the tri mode feature. I purchased this so I could easily switch between my desktop and my ROG ally while docked. The weight of the device makes it feel a little more premium than the premium redragon mouse I owned. I also love that it can go up to 8k dpi as well as has a 3 shot button that is reprogrammable. The Biggest flaw Would have to be the usb-c cable that comes with it. the cloth cable cover is a little loose and feels thin. Im a bit worried it will wear through quickly by rubbing the edge of my desk while using the mouse in wired mode. ... show more

  • Great value on this mouse!
Bought this for my work laptop but my kids quickly asked for one for their computers! BT worked seamlessly with my computer - now I can stop worrying about losing the dongle receiver! I’m not a gamer but am impressed at the value for this gaming quality mouse. And love the LED lighting!

  • Excellent Wireless Gaming Mouse
I used to be a huge razer guy. But after my third wireless gaming mouse for laptop/MacBook had to try something else. Constantly battled with connection seems like they ate batteries. So far this mouse is great. It was easy to setup it glides across any surface quite well. Very happy with this mouse. Great mouse for a low price. The management software could be better but it works, for whatever reason there’s not a one size fits all red dragon suite but other than that , the actual mouse is great. ... show more

  • Redragon continues to impress me - Outstanding rechargeable wireless gaming mouse
First of all, props to Redragon for providing a short video which shows how to download the software for the M814. However, there is a bug in the software when you first load it (which actually shows up in the software download video if you pause it), where the second tab at the top still shows Chinese instead of English for the DPI Light Effects near the bottom. Fortunately, if you go to the Settings and choose Chinese for the language and then change it back to English, when you go back to the second tab at the top "DPI Light Effects" will now be in English. The manual is completely in English, though a bit on the basic side, and you can tell it has been translated rather poorly from Chinese in parts. After reading about "Backlight Adjustment" I knew how to change it (hold Middle button + backwards button), but had no clue what the various settings were. It says the various backlight settings are: "Normal ON/Breath/Flow/Neon/RGB normal ON/Mix color breath". Huh? Fortunately I was able to just cycle through each setting in the software, see what it did, and then go from there before exiting the software to save the setting in the memory. Some of the words used to describe the various RGB settings are also a bit confusing, for example "Rainbow Fixed" chooses a single color with no effects, while "Single Color" chooses a single color that fades in and out. It has 8 programmable buttons (in the picture it mistakenly says 9), and in the manual you will also find out that for macros you can "Record up to 59 actions and trigger with one key." Impressive. The rechargeable battery supposedly has a life span of up to 250 hours (RGB off, 2.4G mode) on a single charge. It will go into sleep mode after 1 minute of inactivity, though you can change that in the software from anywhere from 10 seconds to 40 minutes. It also can be used as a wired gaming mouse while charging. There is also a switch on the bottom to turn the lights on or off and a switch to choose between 3 overall mouse settings, BT, OFF (for connecting wired) and 2.4G, as well as a Bluetooth pairing button, and a convenient slot to store the 2.4ghz dongle when not in use. It has 6 DPI presets of 800, 1200, 1600, 3200, 4000 and 8000, but you can change those presets anywhere from 200hz to 8000hz, have fewer presets if you want or change the color for each preset as you like. It also has 4 polling rates of 125hz, 250hz, 500hz and 1000hz. It also has a rubberized texture along the left side where your thumb rests which feels very nice. This mouse is now my second favorite shaped mouse for my small hands. I also have the wired only Redragon M813 which goes all the way to 16,000 DPI, but which is quite a bit wider but still comfortable to use. The big advantage of the Redragon M814 however, is you can use it wired, or wireless via Bluetooth or 2.4ghz dongle. I know there are purists out there who will still swear by nothing but Logitech mice, but honestly I think they are fooling themselves in 2024. Now having tried several mice from the competition I can find nothing wrong with the new competition currently out there, and they may have even caught up to Logitech. And we all know how horrible the Logitech GHub software still is. Outside of the small English language bug in the software on the one tab which you can easily get around, I can find nothing wrong with this mouse, the software offers more than enough for all your gaming desires including macros, and I think it performs great and especially for gamers with small hands such as mine. I hope you found this review helpful. ... show more

  • its ok
wouldn't put this in the great for gaming as i see a lot of bugs within the software used to set up the mouse and make it personalized. I have to reset all the settings every time i boot up and it just overall feels like a poor knockoff of the g502 series. i will be sticking to the non knockoff version ... show more

  • Responsive, great connectivity, Looks great, but uncomfortable
Having used red Dragon products I was eager to try this mouse out and I found it to be very responsive with a good balance of sensitivity options and connectivity options. The mouse works great. It does everything it is supposed to. However... I find the mouse to be uncomfortable to use. First problem is that my hand likes to slide down the back and right side which makes the main mouse buttons require much more pressure to depress. If I cna keep my hand in place on top of the mouse the main buttons have jsut the right amount of resistance to avoid most accidental clicks. The case is actually quite far from the actual buttons and you have to depress the mouse quite a ways before it actually meets the internal button and operates them, It gets a little annoying. The most uncomfortable part for me is mostly caused by my hand sliding down the back and right side which makes it so when I am scrolling with the middle wheel, my finger scrapes the DPI button behind the wheel. It is not a pleasant feeling. The front edge of that button is rather sharp. My hand size is average, so a person with larger hands might have a more enjoyable experience with this mouse. Visually, the mouse looks great. The lighting goes great with my red Dragon keyboard. Connectivity is excellent and responsive. Battery life is decent. I tend ot use 20% battery every 2.5 - 3 days of 3 - 4 hour per day use with all the flashy lights on. The mouse also has a good balance of weight and is not an ultralight mouse or a heavy mouse. There are several options to increase the amount of operational time between charging that i have not had time to assess, but they do work and will have an effect. The software is not fully translated to english, but can be easily navigated and understood as is. The softwae will not recognize the mouse if you connect it via bluetooth unless you also plug in the wireless dongle too. The software is not needed for any connectivity and the mosue works perfectly without the software when connected via bluetooth, cable, or 2.4g The mouse is functionally and mechanically great, but for my average hands as a 5'2" person this mouse has simply been too uncomfortable to work or game with. ... show more
