  • Excellent membrane compact keyboard with physical media and macro keys
Color: Wired
I collect keyboards. I have over 50 now in my collection. This is the second Red Dragon keyboard that I have reviewed (check my profile for other reviews). I was not sure what to expect with my first review, but after using that keyboard for a little while I mostly go the impression that it is a super value brand with some RGB thrown in. This is a much nicer keyboard than my previous review and has thrown me for a little bit of a loop, and almost feels like it was made by a different company. There is still some value line qualities that shine through, like the deck flex is pretty atrocious and the overall feel of the board itself gives way to thoughts of durability questionability, however all that is kind of thrown out when you kick out the legs and actually start to use the keyboard. Yes, it is painfully obvious that this is not a mechanical switching keyboard, and out of the box the membranes feel quite stiff actually... but give yourself a week and you will be surprised by this keyboard. First of all the keys are all coated in something that gives plastic a slightly rubber texture to them, they are also very smooth --- its nice. While you do not get independent RGB control or a fancy app you do get some fun patterns, one reactive pattern and your classic static backlighting with brightness control and speed control from the patterns. I am not a huge fan of the patterns but I do enjoy having a backlight keyboard and this does a great job with that. When you go down to the compact sized keyboards your going to usually be giving up your nav keys, that is not the case here as they were relocated to the far right side and are well laid out. I was able to get used to them quickly. You have independent media keys at the very top, along with four dedicated independent macro keys that are insanely easy to program (though it has to be a key combination -- some keyboards allow you to attach fully programmable actions to macro keys). You also get shared media keys via the function key row (while pressing Fn key). Most importantly you have a easy to enable function lock key (function key twice until indicator goes off). If your looking for a compact keyboard but do not want to give up much, this is a great option to consider, especially at this price. ... show more

  • Great Budget keyboard but...
Color: Wireless
would've given it a 3.5 if amazon let me to - This is a great keyboard. Like makes less noise while typing personally I loved it just the way I want but the only concern is that in the amazon product images I saw a software for the keyboard but I can't find it anywhere I even tried looking up in the google, youtube but no luck. Maybe that's just a false image or an upcoming feature I don't know. ... show more

  • Great build quality and functionality for a super price.
Color: Wired
This is a really well-designed keyboard for gaming. I did really miss having a rolling media/volume button that most of my other keyboards have. The lighting and options were enough for me but other that having backlighting under my keys, I don’t care too much about aesthetic lighting. I almost exclusively use keyboards made for gaming and I think this one compared well even with my high end ones. I was in disbelief when I saw the price again after having used it for a month. I’d forgotten how much it was and I think this is a spectacular build quality for the price. The functionality is great and the keys feel good. The compact size is very nice to maximize my desk space as I am usually multi-tasking. ... show more

  • This keyboard is nowhere to be found on any Redragon website. Search for support BEFORE you buy it.
Color: Wireless
Before you purchase this do a web search for its model number K524RGP-PRO or its title "Crescent Pro." Go to Redragon website(s) and try to find it. Try to figure out where to get the software. If you're like me, you'll come up empty every time. I even tried variations on the model number such as just K524. Again, nothing anywhere. While it seems to be an okay keyboard, the lack of any support information makes me think it is some kind of knock-off. For this reason, I returned it and bought a comparable Royal Kludge model. More expensive, but at least it is a known quantity. I mentioned that it seems like an okay keyboard, but since I can't find a manual or software for it I can't use any of its features beyond what the Windows driver provides. Even the brightness controls on the keyboard won't do anything. I needed two keyboards with audio transport controls for my studio. The fact these are also wireless was a bonus. Sadly, I had to pay $50 more for two the Royal Kludge keyboards, but at least I know what I'm getting. ... show more

  • Easy to connect, no drivers needed
Color: Wireless
I wanted to have a smaller keyboard for when I travel with my laptop or even just to type on a keyboard with my tablet and this fit the bill. It doesn’t have the numeric keypad but since I don’t really need it this works our better for me as it much more comfortable typing out emails on a real keyboard vs the laptop or the screen on a tablet. Battery life seems to be great as I have been using it all day and still has a good charge. The back light keys are a big plus for me when working at night and you can change the colors and brightness. This keyboard can be used with a MAC or Windows PC as well as a tablet, phone or Linux computer so it could effectively replace all the keyboards and just have the one. It pairs up to my iPhone super easy and you can pair up to 3 different computers or tablets as well as an included 2.4Ghz USB dongle that is connected to a computer so you have a lot of options. The keys feel very high quality and even though they are quiet you can feel them click because of the silicone membrane under them. Overall a great keyboard that is great for the desk at the office and for on the go. ... show more
