I tried this because of doctors' recommendations and will continue to use it for those reasons as well as the taste. (It's hard to explain, but this seems to have a slightly *richer* taste than the cheap stuff in the cardboard containers.). Beware, though, even though it's supposedly fine, it's not quite as fine of a grind as that cheap stuff. Some salt shakers may inhibit flow. If yours is one of those, try a new shaker; I think it's worth it to use this salt ... show more

I'm not sure how or when I decided I cared about the salt I used in my food, but since then I've tried several alternatives. Out of all of them I keep coming back to this brand. I like that it's American made and that it comes from an ancient source. Something about that feels reassuring. The salt has a high content of minerals which in my opinion add to the flavor of whatever I add it to, which these days is basically everything except pasta water. It's a little pricey but for what it's worth one bag lasts my family several months. I think this one of those items that, if you're able to afford it, is absolutely worth the money. ... show more

This is the best salt I have ever used! The taste is slightly different from a regular iodized salt; in my opinion it’s way better! Brings out more flavor and the minerals only enhance that flavor. Texture is finer than regular table salt and very little needs to be used as there is also a fine line between just enough and too much. Will definitely be using from now on ... show more

I have been using this salt for years. It has a better flavor than table salt. Table salt tastes so harsh after using RealSalt for so long. I carry it in my purse to use it at restaurants.
