I can’t believe I didn’t buy this huge salt tub sooner. I’ve been buying the small box of Maldon salts for years. I wish I would’ve known about this sooner, it’s a way better deal when it comes to cost. The tub is fantastic. It’s sort of a light plastic tub and the lid just reseals so you can take however much out you need to fill your little salt cellar and then put this back in the pantry. The flakes seem much lighter, almost like snowflakes, but I know that just must be my imagination. I have several different kinds of salts that I cook with, but this is my go-to for salads or steaks. The flavor is just spot on, it’s not too strong and it’s noticeable. You don’t need to add a ton in order for it to bring out the flavor of your food. When I’m using salt on salads or steaks- this is my preference over everything else in my cabinet. I also have Pink Himalayan salts, Celtic sea salts, and a few other interesting kinds. In my preference, this is the best salt for bringing out flavor. It doesn’t have the bite like basic table salt does, at all. Highly recommend. I wish it did supply iodine though but that’s very difficult to find insults nowadays because they are all processed somehow. If you do find salt with iodine, they are generally added back in after processing unless you find some salt that is strictly straight from oceans and riverbeds. ... show more

Ok so I’ve been watching YouTube shorts and TikTok’s about this salt and I just had try it. It is 11:26pm on 3/24/26 and I literally was just handed my package by an Amazon driver. First thing I did was open the package and tub of salt, grabbed a pinch and straight into my mouth. Guys trust me when I say this is absolutely the best flaky salt I’ve ever had. The taste is so pure and elegant. It’s not over powering at all. It lingers for about 15-20 seconds and then you want another pinch. The crunch is like nothing I’ve ever had. Hard to explain but you know that fresh peanut brittle crunch well that’s about as close as I can describe it. I actually ordered this to try with steaks and chocolate chip cookies. In fact last night I prepared the cookie dough and was waiting for this salt to get here to bake them. Gonna do that now. I don’t even need to wait for the cookies to be done to tell you all that it’s gonna pair well with the cookies. Can’t wait!! Definitely gonna order again when this one runs out which I’m assuming will be very soon. Definitely recommend you all try this salt at least once in your life. After trying many brands and types of sea salt, Maldon flakes was the absolute best, in my opinion. I've used it for years and even given it as gifts. It has a clean, bright salty taste, the perfect finishing salt. You must try a pinch on cantaloupe for a surprising treat. When you need sea salt flakes, Maldon is the best. I am allergic to iodine, so I can't have iodized salt. And so, cooking and baking with this salt is a medical must for me. Its taste is amazing. Its response in cooking and baking is dependable. The texture is cool on my tongue. The ease of use is endless. I love using it as a finishing touch, too. Excellent product! Family favorite, use it everyday. A video surfaced on You Tube where someone had many brands of salt tested for arsenic and lead, and Maldon had the least amount of harmful chemicals. Unless this is disproved, it'll be our go-to.
