The scent is I guess you would call it Redken-y. Inoffensive, even to my tender nose. My hair felt thin and fly away and staticky and flat and I could not do a thing with it. It seemed to happen almost overnight. I think possibly all these hair restoring treatments and thickening things were not doing my hair any favors. So I listened to someone who said use a good bonding shampoo and conditioner. PERIOD. They recommended this. I'm very familiar with the brand and started using it last week. Already my hair is transformed, seems like my old hair was, more body --is not thin and silky, which sometimes is a good thing, but too thin and too silky and too soft is a very bad thing! It can be soft but still have body and it now does. It also helped that I started blow drying my hair again, after a year or so of trying to air dry it, that really didn't work for me with 60ish hair. I don't know if hair changes overnight like mine did or if it was the stress of the last couple of years in the world or what. or maybe it was just I started doing my hair differently because I wasn't going out. I was putting these heavy TRENDY protein treatments on it that say don't use anything else. Well I threw all those away and I just started using this shampoo and conditioner from a reputable company again and guess what, my hair stopped behaving so crazy. I was starting to think I had lost my hair, that was just so flattened and shrunken down from the products I was using. Buy this. AMAZON IS AMAZING..... & SO IS THIS PRODUCT..... This stuff is amazing but very expensive. It doesn't take long to use a bottle up. So the longevity is not great.It. It is however very effective on repairing your hair. by bonding action. Hair comes out smooth and soft. Hair feels a little thinner to me. But healthier all the same. I have been using Redken products for the last 20 years and love all of them, however the acidic bonding products are my favorite. I have long, color treated hair with bleach highlights. Due to years and years of getting highlights (done by professional stylist, not myself), and hard water, my hair around the front of my face started to very finely break in a few spots. My hair stylist recommended these products to me to help with the breaking. They are super gentle on your hair and really do work.
