  • REDCAMP Folding Camping Cots for Adults 500lbs
Color: Grey
I have had the cot for about 2 weeks but I have been sleeping on it for the last week now. I wanted to put it through its paces before depending on it. It was purchased for tent and small cabin use. This cot was chosen for its small foot print. While only 28" x 75" I fine it plenty big for a 6’ 350 lb guy. However I am a side sleeper. When on my back my arms do fall off to the sides. I did not think I would care for the head rest sticking up but actually find it beneficial. Folds out easy and is very stable. It is a tad bit noisy when rolling over (fabric noises) but the frame does not move or make noise. Siting on it does not cause it to fold at all, however I would not sit on the foot of the cot since there is no direct support there. I cannot speak to longevity as of yet but the frame work appears solid (I have sat on the edge) and the plastic joints tough and sturdy. Over all I believe this is perfect for my intended use. More than adequate for my size and weight. Would I recommend, well yes, I have order another for my wife or friends so we would have two. I also got the REDCAMP XL Cot Pads for Camping (brown corduroy) to go with it. This combo makes for a comfortable night’s sleep and not heat up. Only thing I would say at this point is I wish it was a tad taller than 15” but it is a lot better than the 8” high aluminum bi-fold cots we have now. ... show more

  • Sturdy cot for big guys!
Color: Grey
The Redcamp cot is well made and supports big guys with no problems. I slept great on my camping trip to the NC mountains for my 50th birthday. I used it for 6 days straight with my ground pad and sleeping bag. I slept later than normal due to the comfort of the cot. The cot is easy to setup and take down quickly. The cot is very sturdy and not tippy at all. I recommend this cot for heavy guys or gals. I am 240+ and it supported me firmly without any flimsy feeling. Perfect for big tent camping. Mine is a Coleman 6 man Instant Tent. ... show more

  • 7 out of 10
Color: Grey
Comfortable for short use but after a while it will hurt your back, definitely recommend getting the pad that lays on top if you’re thinking of using it long term or even for more then just a day. It’s super easy to open, but closing still is a struggle every once in a while and I’ve had it for about 3 years. But the flip side to it is that once it’s open it’s sturdy and won’t close up on you or anything like that. ... show more

  • 5 stars from a fussy sleeper
Color: Grey
I'm a 40-something lady that likes to camp but refuses to sleep on the ground. I'm a total princess about sleeping; my pillow has to be the correct height and density, my blankets need to be tucked a certain way, and the mattress has to be soft enough that I don't get any uncomfortable kinks or pressure points. Also, I cannot stand to be cold. So when I told my husband I was going to take up horse camping, he was skeptical. When I take my horse out camping with the trail riding club, we set up for a few nights and ride all day. I convert my horse trailer into a little camper and set up a whole apartment in there. I have taken this cot out three times now, and I put a thick inflatable camp mattress on it along with my perfect pillow, sleeping bag, and a down comforter. This cot can't keep you warm (I got a heater for that), but it is very stable and supports me very comfortably. I never thought I would sleep so well out camping (ok, glamping), but I get a full night's sleep and I wake up rested and ready to ride! ... show more

  • After three months of daily use the plastic joints have cracked and failed.
Color: Grey
BLUF: If you camp a few times a year, this will last you 2-3 years and likely is worth the price. If you're using it at least 3 months a year for sleeping whether for camping or guests, you 'may' want to find a better product. The two cots I purchased failed after 3 months but Redcamp Ecommerce sent replacements which have been working flawlessly since. Pro: When new this product is very solid, comfortable for back and side sleepers and is honestly a good sleeping experience. Multiple guests of mine have also slept on it and stated how comfortable it was at least compared to other non-padded cots. If you have any product quality issues, these have a 365 quality warranty which is nice. Cons: It can be a bit difficult to fold up after being used but with time this gets easier. The biggest frustration however though is the plastic joints that keep the scissors style legs in their correct places on my two cots have failed on my two units after constant use. As such, it collapsed the vertical metal posts which combine the folding connections inward and become a safety hazard.* *NOTE: Redcamp Ecommerce honored their 365 day quality policy and sent replacement units. Details available in my reply. ... show more

  • I can camp again
Color: Grey
I swore off camping a year ago when I made it only one night on this dreadful back of mine. And getting up and down even from a good air mattress was too hard. But my wife insisted that we try again. We grabbed this cot, and love it. It is easy to set up and lock in place, and easy to take down and put back in its bag. It is firm beyond belief. I could never have slept on it alone or even with a flimsy pad. I got a decent memory foam pad for it, and camped comfortably all week. It’s a rather expensive kit, but it let’s me continue the long-standing family tradition of an annual camping trip. I’m not going to miss the grandchildren joining us now. ... show more

  • Great quality for the money
Color: Grey
I love this camp cot. I did a lot of researching before buying. This Red Camp cot is very sturdy and good quality. It unfolds and folds in seconds. I bought it to take naps on my screened in porch. I also bought a camp mattress to use with it for maximum comfort. I dont worry about it not supporting my weight. It comes with a carrying case which is great for storage or portability. I highly recommend. I may even purchase another! ... show more

  • A sturdy cot that my dog enjoyed as much as I did
Color: Grey
This card is comfortable to sleep on well made and easy to put together. It is also less weight than all other cots on the market of similar size. The only issue that I have with this cart is that it is too low for me to get off of it due to recent hip surgery. It is not a flaw of the cut more of myself. If it were taller I would have kept it. ... show more
