This is an extremely comfortable, easy on easy off work boot. I am in the auto industry and have purchased many different variations and brands of work boot. Hands down with the quality this has by far surpassed all others in wear. This is my second pair. The first lasted roughly 2 years before having to place this order. With other brands I'm going through 2 a year. It is a money saver 🙌

Update: four years in and I still wear these all the time in the winter. Biking, yard work, hiking, walking in the city. Love them so much. They definitely held up much better than the blundstones my friends purchased string the same time. I received the boot yesterday. It's a bit roomy but I usually size up a bit anyway to allow for thick socks and feet swelling. I wear a women's 9 - 9.5 and ordered the Redback UK 7 and its theres some room in the toe but not too much. The boot is extremely nice quality and immediately comfortable. The insoles feel nice and supportive. I plan on wearing these everywhere all the time :-)

I have shopped for over a year for boots like these!!! I work in EMS and I am on my feet all the time, in and out of dangerous and or hazardous environment. However, when we return to the station, I don’t necessarily want to bring that back into my bunk room. Having the ability to slip my foot in and out of these boots between calls will be a Godsend! I love that they are still a little snug at my ankle so creepy critters don’t get in if we are on a scene with them. YUK! In my quest for these boots, I did my homework on sizing when ordering. It is important to know if the company you are ordering from is ordering based on US sizing. I am a woman and ordered in a US Men’s Size 8 for my boot. I generally wear a US Woman’s size 10. The boots fit perfectly. They were a little stiff when I first put them on but I have worn them while working around the house all day and hav no complaints. They have a nice wide toe box, for those of us who hate for our toes to be crammed together at the end of the boot! Wore them outside to water my plants and they got water on them, it beaded right up, as it should. Got dust on them from kicking some dirt and it came right off. The boots are neither too heavy or so light you don’t know they are there. I often can be a bit clumsy and yet not one unplanned stunt was performed while I walked out to get the mail or did other chores! In fact, these babies look so great, I’m gonna have to order another pair for home use and date nights this fall. I’m in love with these boots and don’t think I will ever buy another type of duty boot again! They are definitely worth the money you pay for them!

These Redbacks are probably the closest thing to Redwing Chelsea style boots you will get. These are meant for work. They aren't the most stylish, but that's not the point. They will take time to break in. I think the factory insoles are too bulky. I recommend that you get the Redback leather insole upgrade or you get your own insoles. The show will be a lot roomier that way and break in will be less of a problem. They are stiff at first, and I thought they were too narrow and weren't true to size. The issue is the leather is too stiff and the factory insole is way too bulky. Replace the insole and these will be true to size, and then all you have to do is break in the boots... eventually the leather will give and these will be one of the lightest and most comfortable boots you can buy. They probably are the most comfortable boots for people who are standing for long hours. I found that slip resistance iffy. I think Wedge Sole style work boots provide better slip resistance. Maybe because they have more surface area or a larger "contact patch" to the ground than these kinds of boots or boots with a heel. Anyway, these are a very good boot and probably the best slip on work boot you can buy. I just wish Redback boots made the upgraded leather insole as standard. They should given the amount of people who prefer the upgraded leather insole, but I guess it's just another way to steal more money from people. It's a shame, but that's the way this world works. Otherwise, these are a damn good boot, and I think they will last a long time. They are not resoleable, but these could last two to three years, then you are better off buying a new pair of Redbacks, so you get your money's worth in terms of how long the boots should last.
