Everybody gets the brown iron rangers, but these go with so many outfits and are so versatile. Pretty much go with any color pants in a casual outfit except for a similar khaki. I am a Brannock 10D with boot socks on, and 9.5D fits pretty well. When I add some superfeet blue insoles, it is a little snug but still tight. If you are super worried about getting the right size, go get fitted at a Red Wing store and order them on Amazon. They are extremely worth it.

The Iron Rangers in Hawthorne Muleskinner with Vibram 430 mini-lug soles recently dropped steeply in price and I scooped them up. I already own a pair of Iron Rangers in the venerable Amber Harness with the nitrile cork soles, and they proved to be comfortable, fashionable and durable. This new pair doesn't disappoint. The construction, color and comfort is mind-blowing. Break-in was fast and painless. As usual with Iron Rangers, I sized down from my Brannock 13D to 12D, and the fit is perfect. In my opinion, the most versatile boot money can buy: work, play, style - they make me look and feel and work better. Goes great with chinos, jeans, work pants, even shorts. They have no major weakness. I go to great lengths to buy USA-made at all costs, because we still make the best, you just have to spend the time to look around. I am a minimalist and a true materialist, in that I want the fewest number of apparel and footwear items of the highest quality possible, and these boots fit that philosophy perfectly. Who doesn't need a pair of compliment monster, timeless fashion piece, long-lasting, hard-working boots?

This is my third pair of Red Wings, and quite possibly my favorite. I love how these boots mold to your feet in a short period of time. I highly recommend sizing down 1/2 size if you purchase a Heritage Series boot....

Iron rangers are great but this is a factory blemished pair. Not advertised this way. It came with some miner scuffs and a misshapen right boot sole.

So I have owned a few of these boots. Sizing is everything with getting the proper fit and break in for these boots. I normally wear a size 12 in shoes but I sized for a 10.5 in my boots. Fit perfect with enough space for my toes to wiggle around the way I like them. Some might say the 10 size would be better but not for my feet. Every foot is different so I would suggest you try to find a local redwing store like I did in Jacksonville FL and the 10.5 fit perfect.
