Description

"This book is the best organized and most comprehensive treatment of the pistol mounted optic in service use currently available. This is a must read!"Wayne Dobbs Retired Richardson TX Police Officer National, and International LE firearms instructor "The content of this book is phenomenal, the information is backed up by research that anyone can access. This training is explicit, practical and easy to implement. Everyone who is serious about shooting should have this book." -Doc Hutchins"I was shooting last night and was able to put this into play. It IMMEDIATELY helped me to be able to see the dot without searching for it. Awesome!"-Darla★A unique neurology based approach to quickly create an automatic presentation that delivers the dot between your dominant eye and the target every time, so you never have to struggle to find the dot again.★Created for the shooter who doesn't have weeks or months to figure out how to find the dot once they mount an optic on their pistol. This book will show you how to use and master the red dot in a way no other book, video, or course has before. Here’s just some of what you’ll learn inside:The 1 secret for finding the dot FAST (You can use brute force and do 100s or 1000s of reps OR you can use my simple, quick process and be dialed in in a few minutes.)A one-shot process to switch from irons to red dot (While others are struggling for weeks or months to make the switch, you can do it in a single shot.)How to have your iron sight practice transfer to red dots. We want a technique that will let us practice on either irons or a red dot AND have that practice transfer over to performing with either irons or a red dot. What to do when there's no dot? You'll learn how to quickly make effective hits when you can't find your dot, when your window's blocked, or if your dot breaks or completely flies off of your gun! (Hint: the answer is NOT tall suppressor sights that block half of the window)Shooting dots with astigmatism, cross-eye dominance, old eyes, or both eyes open These can all cause problems with shooting pistols...even red dots...and we'll show you how to nail targets if you struggle with these conditions and more.Best red dot solutions for spouses who don't (and won't) trainYou'll learn how to set up your gun so that you can take advantage of the strengths of a red dot and your spouse won't be slowed down by it.Authors: Mike (Ox) Ochsner, and I'm the creator of Dry Fire Training Cards, Real World Gunfight Training, and VisionTraining.com. I use neurology to help shooters build more skill--and more resilient skill--in less time than what's possible with traditional firearms training. I'm a master level IDPA shooter with a subcompact Glock 26, a Rangemaster & NRA instructor, a UTM and RBTA Mil/LE force-on-force master instructor, a Force Science Institute Analyst of human factors in lethal force encounters, and a student of performance neurology. • GREAT Info
Format: Paperback
If you shoot, and you're debating on switching to RDS, my first suggestion is rent, beg or borrow a RDS gun and see how you like it. Sometimes new technology is not better, just new. But I'll bet after the first few rounds you'll be hooked. But there is a learning and training curve to this tech. This book will offer the pros and cons, the risks and rewards, the what, who and how of RDS and what you can expect if you make the switch. Be advised you WILL use a lot of ammo. It's a lot like switching from manual to auto transmission - there's no going back! But there is a cost, and making wrong choices can do more than put holes just in your wallet! Nothing is free, especially skills. Take the time to learn about this next tech so you can make the correct choices for YOU. ... show more

  • Wanna waste more than just your time, wanna burn money in extras? Buy this book!
Format: Kindle
Goes way too deep into beginning shooting when the book is supposed to be about red dot shooting. Everything you want to learn will cost extra and your constantly sent to his website which tries to sell you extras to learn what the book should tell you. His website has broken links when your sent to it. Great waste of 20 bucks! You can learn more from tutorials on YouTube for free! ... show more

  • Very helpful - Teaches important things you you might not be focused on.
Format: Paperback
Especially liked the sections on eye conditioning to rapidly adjust focus. Faster your eyes can focus at different distances the faster you will be. While equipment, grip, stance, are all important, you can't be faster than your eyes can adapt. Even without a red dot, the techniques taught are valuable for shooting iron sights as well. ... show more

  • An Absolute MUST Read for Shooters!!!

I am halfway through this book and have to tell you it is amazing. If you really want to understand the mechanics of shooting with red dots or iron sights and improving your skill, this is the resource for you. I don’t normally push products, but I really have been amazed at the amount of info in this book. One of my best reads in a long time. It helps you to really understand the neural mechanics of shooting. Has a mental health practitioner as well as an avid shooter. I really do appreciate the scientific approach that has been used to explain the concepts that are presented in the book. Great job Ox. ... show more
