RD Pro 100% Industrial Grade Heat Resistant RTV Silicone is a one-component, non-slumping sealant that cures to a rubbery solid at room temperature. It is formulated with iron oxide to resist extreme heat exposure and withstands temperatures up to 600° F. So far so good. I used this to re-attach a piece of stone veneer very near the face of my fireplace, was concerned that due to the heat other glues wouldn't stand up. During this time of year, we have the fireplace going pretty much 100% of the time. I have a thermometer on the blower grate and it often reaches close to 400 degrees; the brick I needed to attach was only a few inches away from the grate. I let the fire die down, squirted a couple blobs on the back of the brick and stuck it on. It's tacky enough the brick held itself in place while drying. Been over a week now and it's still attached firmly and we've had the fireplace going 24/7. It works! **Update 4 months later** Still holding strong! We have had the fireplace cooking non-stop since I put this stuff on. No signs of loosening up at all. **Update 3 years later** Bricks adhered with this stuff are still stuck on, it's awesome. Purchased this to fix and create a new seal for a furnace inducer fan assembly. The fan assembly is the heart of the furnace in order to get it up and running. I replaced the inducer fan as the bearings were done. I used this product to create a tight seal to prevent the carbon monoxide and other fumes from entering the basement. In addition to a gasket, I used this to seal the base of the inducer fan assembly to prevent it from leaking anything. The product is the best and withstands 500 degrees temperature.     • Great high temp adhesion, slight off-gas at first burn
I used this to adhere and fiber-cement surround to a zero-clearance direct vent fireplace, seems to be working just fine after several uses. The only issue is we noticed a smell that resembled a hot engine bay during the first couple times we ran the unit after using this product. It hasn't completely gone away, but it is lessening with time. Totally worth it though for the working temp range of the product. ... show more

Needed it to temporarily seal an exhaust flange after replacing the front pipe. Mating surface on existing center pipe was corroded badly, and I couldn't get a seal. This did the trick while I waited for a new center pipe to arrive.

I used this product to create a new handle for a Thurible (incense burner used in Church) I created a new handle out of two pieces of wood that had to be glued around the shaft of the Thurible After the glue had set the handle had to be shaped, sanded and finished.
