I really like the display feature that's built in to help show off record art. The actual "mini-shelves" are made of fabric, but don't look cheap, and actually give some flexibility with extra storage as well as keep your records in place. The quality of the wood looks pretty refined, it doesn't feel like an Ikea stand at all. The only design flaw is that the record player itself is just a few inches lower to the ground than what my idea would be. I'm 5'8" and I'm not bothered by it, but it would make more sense to raise the table top to be a bit higher. I still think that the art display overall balances out the placement of the record shelf. There's also an option to nail the top rods into the wall, but since the overall design is balanced, there's really no need to do that, as this will definitely not topple over. ... show more

The assembely wasn't too complicated it only took about an hour. However, when screwing in the board for the turntable to rest on. The screws went straight through the board. I was using the correct screws, and they still aren't even tightened all the way. Once I covered it with the turntable it was alright. The only thing I don't like about this design, is that the sleeves for you vinyls go up kind of high, and it covers the lower third of your record. Apart from that, this is a useful stand, just be weary when assembling. ... show more
