Description

The Recirculating Deep Water Culture RDWC System Grow Kit makes growing with hydroponics easy. Large 5 gallon square grow sites with 4" wide lip net pots are great for tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans and other crops. The super quiet air pump with 4 port manifold supplies air using separate air lines to individual air stones in each grow site providing oxygenated water for optimal root health and faster, healthier growth. The four grow sites are connected to a common reservoir bucket making top-up and nutrient balancing easy. Recirculating pump circulates nutrient rich water continuously through the system. Adjustable Water level control spout maintains constant water depth in grow sites reducing frequency of top-ups. Easy setup with pre-drilled buckets, high quality 2" fittings with large rubber seals ensure high water flow. Wide lip net pots provide greater stability as plant grows and increases in weight. Large box tube wrench provided for assembly. A separate drain pump and pipe is provided for easy draining of system when necessary. Very nice system, easy to setup and cellar backs his product and goes above and beyond. Alittle dish soak on the seals will help them from bunching upon tightening, wash and inspect your parts, once put together properly it won't leak a drop. I highly recommend.

I setup a small grow room and wanted a system that could take care of the plants by itself during times when I would be out of town for a few days. The deep water hydroponic setup provides a buffer of water for the plants while the air pump provides oxygen for the roots so they don't rot. In my first deep water setup, I had a slightly different system with smaller hoses connecting the buckets together. However, this system leaked and I drove myself crazy trying to fix the leaks. Also, it was a static system. There was no forced flow between buckets. This system is much better. The pipes connecting the buckets are larger and the connections more robust and most importantly - leak tight! The fittings have silicone gaskets. I made double sure they would leak by also using silicone sealant. I can confirm that this system does not leak. It also has a pump which recirculates and mixes the nutrients and pH additives to ensure a uniform mixture throughout. One water pump is constantly running, along with the air pump. The kit has massive air stones to provides lots of oxygen to the root system. I'm also interested in setting up "auto dosing" to add pH additives and nutrients automatically. This is the perfect set up for closed loop control to maintain perfect conditions and maximize yield.     • My personal favorite RDWC kit- and there's a LOT of these kits out there.
There are a LOT of DWC and RDWC hydroponic systems out there and most are poor quality. You really do pay for what you get with hydroponic anything. Some ppl who sell hydro bucket kits use grommets, some use 1" tubes to connect the buckets together. These systems can leak and have issues. This kit by Artisun Technologies is AWESOME. I really have no complaints here. The buckets are very high food grade quality and they use 50mm PVC pipe to connect the buckets together. This makes for a very rigid, completely leak free system. Very nice 50mm silicone gaskets too. The PVC pipes are large in diameter which is good. When roots start growing they won't clog small 1" tubes. What I changed was I added a dripper kit and because I did, I cut and lowered the level spout in the reservoir. There's no real need to have the nutrient water as high as it gets with dripper rings. Unless you are using a dripper system, DO NOT lower the water level by modifying the level spout. The only thing I wish they did was include the level spout they do include and another one which is shorter. Also, the tiny plastic 4 port air manifold supplied for the air stones has 2 caps on each end which aren't secured very well. They didn't use glue to seal these caps on so, I did. Other than that little thing, this kit is perfect. Everything you need is in this kit minus the grow tent and actual nutrients. The holes are cut precisely and perfectly. These are some of the things you pay for here. They supply this with two 340 LPH Active Aqua pumps which are top quality. I bought this system from this seller on a competitive site. I have used it through 4-5 grows over the last almost 2 yrs. Works great! I did have to replace the pump after about the 4th grow, but to be expected and an easy fix.
