It's made out of very thin aluminum, but I guess that's kinda the goal. It installed very easily, but the hardware is not very good. One of the stainless screws failed, and the threads pulled off in the nut. I inverted the side bars, which made more sense for my usage. Overall it's a pretty good kit, but I seriously doubt it could reliably support 110lbs. I would be very nervous with carrying 30lbs on it, but I could be wrong. I wanted something that I could sure up and add heavier supports to. I'd like to carry a camping ruck, and just getting the clamps and geometry is worth the price to me. ... show more

This was very easy to install and is relatively sturdy. My only real concern is how it will hold up under weight and terrain. The rear stays are only held by a slide screw.

First I want to say is ignore all negative comments about installation because of no instructions.... It is very easy to install without directions. Just watch a you tube vid on installing all most an any universal rack it's a quick connect to the seat... And the 2 rods on the sides are very easy if you just use your brain and take your time it's easy. The bottom connections can be a pain in the a#@. Because you have to hold the rubber spacers while finding where you want them to go but just a little patience you will be fine. And I'm blind in one eye lol. That being said it's very sturdy. Very well built... Looks great if you need a rack for your regular bike or e bike it's perfect. (Mine is on an e bike) ... show more

    • Decent, no instructions, you get what you pay for
The lack of instructions was frustrating, as I had to install it two times to get it right. Also, no advice on what the lanyard is for. Seems durable, not that I got it on the bike right. However, as it mounts to the seat post I find that my legs rub against it when riding which is annoying. I'm going to see how it lasts on a few longer rides before deciding whether to keep it. I expected more, but as it was cheap I suppose I got what I paid for... ... show more
