This is a little cutie. We already have some girl babies, so this one was super cute to be a boy. It really is a gender neutral baby as it can pass for either if not for the blue binkie and bottle. I combed over the hair (with my fingers) a little as he had a bit of baldness how it was parted. The stuffing is a little stiff compared to the other reborn like dolls we have gotten. Some have some sort of sand or something in the bottom to be weighted. This one is just stuffing. I have one that kind of slumps to the side when you don't support it. This one can support itself when unsupported. The only part that kind of moves if unsupported is the neck. He is the only soft body baby doll that we have (from the "reborn" like dolls) that can sit up and the legs look like they're sitting. Like, we can have him sit with his legs dangling off the edge of a chair or table or have him sit with his legs bent more so the bottom of his feet touch each other. He is able to sit up and support himself. So, though the body isn't weighted or as soft/floppy/snuggly as some of the other ones, it is able to sit up unsupported unlike the other ones. From the box, his hair is so nice and soft. He had a mesh over his hair to keep it from getting matted. The eyelashes are great too. His fingers are not separated. You can see a little webbing of the index and middle fingers of the left hand. The right hand fingers are joined together except the pinky, so it's not really as noticeable. Overall, he's a real cutie and a joy to add to the collection. The kids love pretending to feed him. He comes with a diaper and a bottle and a pacifier. The birth certificate is blank for you to fill out. It was a little crushed though. This is the cutest little boy baby doll we have. We are happy with him.

The SPICEMOMO Lifelike Reborn Baby Dolls Girl, 18-Inch Realistic Baby Dolls Cloth Body, Newborn Toddler Baby Doll Toy with Accessories Gift for Kids in the PINK heart outfit is a nice doll. She has a sweet face with pretty eyes. Her eyelashes are long and lush! She is a cloth body doll, put together with zip ties like most in this price range but her limbs will move and she is posable. They are attached and hidden better than some I’ve seen. She can sit up without support. Her hair is drawn on quite well it looks like real newborn hair. Her outfit is cute but nothing special. Her hands and feet are posed pleasingly and look realistic with cute little baby nails. Her posture makes it fairly easy to change her clothes. This will be helpful for younger doll moms. She comes with the usual bottle, pacifier, diaper and birth certificate. I wish she weighed a little more. Other than her eyelashes I can’t say there is anything particularly special about this sweet baby but she is a good solid buy for this price point. She will be a good present for your doll lover regardless of their age. I highly recommend.

My daughter has been bugging me for a baby reborn, so when I saw this, I knew I had to give it a shot. The doll is definitely better quality and much more lifelike than the generic dolls at the big box stores, and my daughter is just in love with her! I never did the whole doll thing, as I found most of them to have dead, lifeless eyes and just be creepy, but that’s not the case with this one. I kinda wondered from the pictures shown if she was gonna be another creepy doll, but the doll actually looks much better in person. I honestly don’t mind it. I mean, what matters is whether my child likes the doll or not, but I gotta live in the house with it too. *shrugs* A little more about the doll: it feels a little weighted. Not completely accurate, obviously, but there’s a comfortable weight and softness to it. The vinyl head and arms and legs are on the soft side too. I’m not the biggest fan of the painted hair, as it’s very obviously drawn on there, but it could be worse. And I’ve seen some of the baby reborns with hair and they looked strange, so we’ll take it as is. The outfit wasn’t especially cute, just a plain pink onesie, but that’s an easy remedy since the doll wears newborn outfits. The bow headband is nice. I like the magnetic pacifier. It’s a nifty idea, given that the mouth isn’t open. She doesn’t look permanently surprised, lol, with her mouth stuck in an “o” shape, and they still found a way to give her a pacifier. All in all, it’s a great gift idea for a child, and budget friendly, given how much some of these dolls run.

I bought a lifelike doll several years ago for a family member with dementia. It gave her great enjoyment, and ended up being handed down to another person in a similar situation. I recently came across this “reborn” doll and ordered it for a granddaughter who enjoys pretend play. When I saw it I realized it is really not a good choice (in my opinion) for young children- it’s too lifelike- I’d rather she pretend with her Raggedy Ann and similar dolls meant for kids. I returned it, deemed it not appropriate for young children, but a good choice for a nurturing adult with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
