I used to use a cast aluminum citrus squeezer but decide to give this style a try. It is dishwasher safe which is better than aluminum. The handle has some flex to it when I really squeeze a fruit… and I suspect the handle or the rivets holding the handle to the pressing plate, will eventually be the first part to brake. Still we’ll see. So far so good.

It works well, but I probably overdid it squeezing Grapefruit quarters till the pulp would squeeze out the sides...repeatedly. I eventually popped off the bottom weld on the bottom handle where it attaches to the reservoir. didn't render it unusable, but it will now flex on the lower handle quite a bit and will eventually break. If you're only doing lemon or lime halves I don't see much chance of repeating my results. I might try another one and just be a little gentler, or I might try one of those cast aluminum ones...haven't decided yet. Edit: bumped up the rating to 4 star for their customer service: they saw my review. I didn't contact the seller, I didn't ask for a replacement. They reached out to me and told me they have a 5-year warranty on their juicer and sent me a new one that was here 2 days later. best customer service I've ever had in my life.

A decent hand juicer, it really made such a difference using it compared to a normal juicer. The biggest drawbacks are the way it’s constructed, from what I can observe there is only 1 weld on the handle and that is all. During use you can feel the handle taking most of your force and feel as though it will break. If you are not careful and provide anything other than an vertical force it is not stable enough to handle that, made a huge mess. Decent product, would not purchase again I would look for an alternative.

I did extensive research on Amazon before settling on this unit, What won me over was the sturdiness, size, and "press down" method of getting the juice out. After using it extensively over the last month or so, here is my take: I primarily use it to squeeze limes. I cut the limes in half and "score" the two halves slightly, then put them back together in the squeezer. This first, slow, press gets ~70-80% of the juice. I now take the squeezed lime and rotate it upside down to give it another press. I now fold the remaining mush and squeeze it once more. I think this method get's ~90% or more of the juice out. Because of the design of the unit, I just keep it on the cutting board and press down - this allows me to use gravity (my body) to do the work (instead of squeezing with my two hands). It is a bit messy, as some of the juice squirts out - this is why I do slow press. So, overall, I am happy with it. My friend prefer the electric spinner kind - I am not sure.
