I received this item within a day, brand new and wrapped as such. I am very impressed with the leather and the price I paid. After reading all of the negative reviews and inspecting the product I found no issues. I am 5'6'', and my one concern was the length of the strap because I prefer a cross body that permits hands free shopping plus added security. What I could not find anywhere was the length of the strap which is 60 inches long and adjustable. I was concerned about comments regarding the color rubbing off on clothing, I got the dark brown and did some testing and found no such issue. I did, however, applied a leather conditioner and protector that only made the product shine and brought out the texture of the leather. I used a white cloth to apply and polish and there was no transfer of the color. I expect this bag to last me a long time, I am very soft on things and also have no need to carry a whole lot in the bag. Another negative review was the width of the strap. I have other bags costing four times as much and with the same width of the strap. There was also mention that the strap was joined in several places. For that length it would have been hard to get one continuous strip, unless you were paying four times upwards the price and getting cow skin leather. You get what you pay for. The bag looks very rich, leather is soft and construction is superb. There was also a review regarding the pocket in the front with the flap closure that did not have a fastener, when placed through the brass holder it is very snug and feels secure. I was able to place my iPhone in the front zipper pocket with ample room even with a phone cover. The only thing missing were pockets for cards.
