Stainless Steel Screw Kits are far superior to the screws that come stock with your RC. Our kits are made with the best stainless steel money can buy. No more bent, rusted, or corroded screws.The Kits include: All socket screws + Extras Button Screws + Extras Flat Head Screws + Extras Set Screws + Extras Nuts + Extras Washers + Extras Bondhus Short Arm hex Wrenches All Sizes Quality Reusable plastic pit case General Screw Installation & Notes: Use either a wax or grease on the threads to help prevent stripping while going into new or hard material. Some screws that are included in the kits remain phillips heads but are still stainless steel. We have done this for strength, as a result of our field testing, on small diameter screws (2mm and 2-56" diameter). This may include some chassis screws and differential screws. All other remain socket head. Our kits do not include any machined collared screws or screw pins (pins with threads on the end). Also, Traxxas flat cap screws are replaced in our kits with correct diameter button heads and/or low profile cap screws depending on location. Where to find screw locations: The manuals or schematics can be found on the vehicles manufacturers website - they give screw type and location, or if rebuilds/repairs are the process then the removal and replacement method is used. This manual does NOT come with this screw kit.

So far it’s a pretty solid purchase. I am finding, however, just like some of the other reviews mentioned that there appears to be some of the larger body screws missing. So that makes this an incomplete kit which is a little frustrating especially because those were the exact screws that I was buying this kit for in the first place. So it’s almost a required necessity to purchase this because stuff seems to break and need to get tweaked all the time on this X MAXX.. but I don’t know why they’re selling a kit it doesn’t have all the screws?? ... show more

False advertisement. This is not a complete set for the Traxxas X-Maxx, the two steering bellcrank bolts and two of the bolts on the motor are not included in this kit.

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. The set comes with almost all the screws despite being advertised as being a complete set. It doesn't come with any of the hinge screws using in the steering assembly, nor the body latch. It also is missing all the screws used on the body. Seems like a big shortcoming for a set that has such a definitive claim as being a complete kit. For the body I had to scavenge screws from another part of the kit and use rubber washers to replace the exposed exterior screws since they're more likely to corrode. But, the kit is still a huge upgrade. Now almost all the screws on my truck are stainless. ... show more
