These aftermarket batteries are as good as OEM anymore. Easy installation and they even include some tools.

Update: only lasts 1.5 hours with regular office use. My 3 year old original battery was still giving 2.5 hours of use on a charge. (I had to replace it because an update turned my laptop on in my backpack and it overheated and puffed up) Original (4 stars) Reviewed just 2 minutes after turning the computer back on. It turns on, says it is taking a charge, and the case close up fine. A couple tabs were slightly off and needed to be squished into place. One tab is completely superfluous on the 2021 model and I had to bend it out of the way. The main battery connections to the BMS board are missing, so I am a little concerned about high power draws and how the battery may respond to that.

Purchased on Nov2024, and died Feb 26, 2025. When connected to PC, it shows full charge, but when plugged off from the charger to use at the couch, Windows shut down. It does not turn on without the charger plugged in. It works well so far (and isn't swollen!). The only issue I ran into is that the metal mounting brackets for the screws weren't quite a 1 to 1 match for the original battery, so I had to bend some of them just a smidge to get it to fit into the battery compartment. Nothing too dramatic but something to be aware of.

Despite that fact, new models (2022 and later) has no the fastener, mentioned on the photo, battery fits fine and works well. You just have to bend the fastener and isolate it to not contact the fastener with the M/B parts. I can say nothing about battery life, will be back soon if it will be short :) Or won't come back if it will be long enough.
