I purchased my mower almost 10 years ago and I have done maintenance work on it about 12 times that required removing the access panel to replace the belt, and twice had to remove the engine to get the belt on the driver pulley because the belt guide was bent. But considering how much work the mower has done cutting thistle and grass, I can’t complain. I have gone over lots of big rocks and chunks of concrete, and it still keeps going, although I have replaced almost everything except the engine, the blades, and the blade drive system. I’m just now having to replace the blade drive spindle and idler pulley because they have “permanent grease” bearings, (as if there’s any such thing) . I would say that after ten years the mower has proven itself to me. ... show more

    • Do Not Buy Anything from this Company!!!
I wish there were negative stars to give I do not own this product. However I purchased another one similar to this. I have used it 3 times and it has burned up a belt each time. The last time the belt disintegrated it destroyed some wires and other components in the belt compartment. I've called the company and they told me since I purchased it from Amazon I had to contact them about a refund. All of Amazon's info on this says that I need to contact the company. In other words they (Swisher) will not do anything to grant any relief on this issue. I cannot stress enough that you should not do business with this company!!! ... show more
