This is the third "beginner" plane we have purchased from Amazon. The others were white styrofoam and they didn't hold up past the first day of using it. THIS plane is much more durable and even though you crash it into pavement, it has not torn a wing or anything. MUCH happier and it has lasted three days nows without any problems. My grandson is 9 and can fly it, but it will crash occassionally, as did the others. The others tore wings and ripped off the propellers. This red one has not had that problem at all.     • Pretty cool little RC plane

This plane is pretty cool. It is a bit difficult to fly. It is more like a glider because you must gain altitude or bank in order to stay airborne. It is kind of like a jacked up version of the balsa wood or rubber band powered toys that I grew up with except one big difference. The remote. The remote is used not only to propel the aircraft forward. It is used to control the two motors to bank the aircraft instead of ailerons, or a rudder. The trick is to use the motors along with the natural ability of the aircraft to climb up, and dive down etc. to sustain flight. Reversing the controls as the aircraft flies towards you. (similar to a drone)You definitely need a lot of room. I got mine caught in trees, and had to get it down by throwing a football at it to knock it down. It still flew good after that. I purchased one red and one yellow of these little airplanes for my nephews, for Christmas. I have only briefly tested them together when I first received them, then I did a quick test flight. For anyone wondering if two of these different colored airplanes can fly without interfering with each other, they can. When I first received them I tested this with a red one and yellow one. You first turn on the airplane, then turn on the remote control. The light on the remote control will then start blinking. Normally after that I just run the throttle up then down, and the remote will link with the airplane. I repeated this process with the other airplane, then tested if they will interfere with each other, and they did not. For the quick test flight I went to a local recreation park, and it was about a 10 mile per hour wind out. A long time ago I briefly had a hobby quality 4 channel gas powered airplane, and have had many other remote controlled cars, so I had some R/C experience. Even though the wind was only about 10 miles per hour it made it a bit of a challenge to fly them. These are very small and light weight airplanes, so they are very sensitive to wind but I was able to fly them around a bit. They can get high up in the air very quickly, many times I had to turn the throttle all the way down and let the plane glide back down, only using the right stick to turn them a bit. These airplanes can get away from you fast so you have to be careful not to lose them, I dont think the little remote control will have a lot of range. Other then that they were fun to fly. I also did not install the landing gear for my testing, and instead just cut the throttle when it about to land and let the planes glide down to land on their belly's. I think these would be good R/C airplanes for younger flyers or for anyone that wants a smaller plane to mess around with for a lower cost then the pricey hobby store models. These are also ready to fly also basically. Just charge and install the plane batteries, put batteries in the remote, put the landing gear on, and start flying. ... show more

My son (12 yr old) had a blast with this. Much easier than the RC helicopters we have had. It lasted a couple weeks before parts started falling/breaking off and the nose got beat up. But I knew this wouldn’t be a toy that lasted long when we purchased.

    • Really fun and easy to fly
My son loves this plane. It is light like a glider so you can use the propeller to fly up and then glide. The steering still works when gliding so you can fly it around and the power it back up when it gets low. You can dip and turn to do corkscrews. It is really fun. The battery lasts for a pretty long time and if you have two batteries you can play for a long time. ... show more

Bought this for my grandson fir his 5th birthday because he loves planes. After a little instruction from his dad he was able to fly the plane. Best part the plane is very durable so even after several crash landing the plane is still operational. The remote control is small and easy to use use even for a 6 year old. I would give 0 stars if possible. Got this as a potty training reward for my little guy. Finally opened it up, charged the battery, only to figure out that it’s defective. Little guy’s heart is broken. Return window is closed. $40 down the toilet. Another great Chinese-made product! Stay away!

This plane is really easy to learn how to fly. The controls are very easy and take no time to learn. Defiantly hard to fly with anything more than a breeze but what rc plane isn't? Probably not the best for learn real plane controls though. It only uses general lift from the wings to go up and then you cut the throttle to come back down. So if you are looking into wanting something with actual stability controls and elevators and what not, you should probably find a different plane. But overall I think it is an excellent buy for the price. ... show more
