Pros: - 4 wheel drive - Max speed can be dialed down on controller - Easy to get to internal components - Includes tools, two batteries, and two bodies Cons: - Have to take the body off to charge (though it's only 4 pins to pop out) I gave this to my son to abuse so I could get a good idea of how well it'll survive. So far the only thing he's managed to do to it is lose one of the pins that holds the body on so that's a good sign for it's quality. He previously had a different RC truck that pieces kept breaking inside so I had to take it apart many times to fix things. I appreciate that this truck has 4 pins that come out and I can get to all the internal components pretty easily. That's also how the battery is replaced. It even came with a couple tools and some spare pins to help with any required repairs (which thankfully have not yet been needed). It does pretty well flying through the grass at full speed. It's 4 wheel drive so it hasn't gotten stuck yet like his old 2 wheel drive truck did. I also really like that there's a speed control dial on the remote so the max speed could be dialed down while he was getting used to controlling it (and when he drives it around inside). The only things I didn't like are that the body has to be taken off to switch the battery and that there's an extra battery connector inside that can get mud in it. Taking the body off isn't that big of a deal, but it's annoying (mostly because when my son wanders in to get me to switch batteries, it's covered in mud and I barely want to touch it). The other is that the battery uses two connections. One connects to the car and the other is used when charging. I'm guessing that's to allow you to charge the battery while it's in the car without having to take the body off (which would negate my first complaint), but it also results in a stray connector which has gotten covered in mud on a couple occasions and I had to clean before I could charge it. Overall it's a great car with a lot of convenient options I didn't expect.

Super fun, easy to control and its quick and responsive. Cant speak to its durability yet will update if any issues but so far so good. Makes me want to get more of these

The media could not be loaded. Update: I’ve had this RC car for a little less than four weeks and I am starting to experience it failing. I use it about 2 to 3 times a week for about 30 minutes each time mostly on the asphalt with the little bit of offloading in the grass but nothing too extreme. It’s starting to make a grinding, sign and acceleration has declined significantly. It is also having extremely hard time accelerating in the grass unlike when I first got it. I sense that some plastic gears are likely wearing down leading to this, but I don’t have an official diagnosis on the problem yet. I am very disappointed that it hasn’t held up longer than 4 weeks. Hopefully I will find a way to fix it. Original review below: I recently got this RC car and I must say it is quite awesome. I must say this is the first RC car I’ve had in a long time so don’t have anything to compare it to. First of all the thing that stands out about this RC car is how fast and fun it is to play with. Although I have not checked the actual speed, the stated 40kph seems accurate. I’ve driven this on my driveway and it definitely goes fast. Of course when off-road the speed slows down considerably but that’s to be expected. The speed of this RC car is definitely one of the highlights. I really appreciate that it’s 4wd as well, and makes off-roading a breeze. The only times I’ve gotten it stuck is when there’s been long grass that gets caught around the wheels. The overall construction of the RC car seems quite good and durable. Although one of the front suspension pieces came unscrewed after using for a little while, but I was able to screw it back on with no problem. This RC car comes with 2 covers which is nice. They are held on by 4 pins which can be easily removed to access the working parts of the car and change the battery. The battery lasts a decent time, I would say around 40 mins of constant use. But it comes with an additional battery so you are able to keep racing. However one of the main issues I have with this is that the batteries take forever to fully charge. I’ve placed them on the charger and it takes about 4-6 hours to fully charge, which I find insane considering how small they are. If there is some way to safely charge faster that would be nice. The controller is easy to use but seems a bit bulky. I really like the function that allows you to align the front wheels. There is also a speed control to set the maximum speed. Overall the RC car is pretty easy to control after spending a bit of time to get used to it. The one complaint I have about this car is that in the pictures the tires are shown as much bigger than they actually are. This doesn’t seem to be a significant issue with the functionality of the RC car other than that it’s just misleading. So far not only have I enjoyed this RC car, my toddler really enjoys watching it along with my dog loves to chase it which is good exercise for her. Overall I am pleased with this RC car. The current price seems a bit steep, however with as much fun as I’ve had I would still recommend it.

My son (12) and I have been driving our RC cars around inside. We can do that because they are not good enough to go outside even though they are "Baja Style" etc.. This car really pushed it up a notch!!! The car: it is what I would call pushing prosumer. It didn't cross into the hobby-est level but the springs, suspension, balance, and features really showed it is much higher end than anything we've ever gotten from Santa. The remote: like the car, it introduced to my son some new features such as being able to trim the right and left controls so that we could truly get the car to go straight and if it hit a rock or a bump we could make adjustments on the fly. The sensitivity meant he had to stay on his game and drive. Performance: The signal control is very responsive in the throttle control and direction control. The remote was balanced in the hand and felt like the performance. The car is fast!! It handled grass (about 2.5 inches), gravel, tree roots, packed dirt, and held up. Endurance: This has been played with for a few weeks now (much longer than end cap cars) and we had to adjust a few things. Because of the speed, it does burn the battery a bit but it gives enough play time and seems to be on par with other RC equipment. In the end: Santa's workshop could use these for upgrades.
