  • Very nice bike
Style: Freestyle Bike
I bought this for my son for his birthday. He loved it. Was fairly easy to put together. My only complaint was the instructions that came with it were not specifically for this bike and I found myself improvising on parts.

  • Great bike for the price.very sturdy.
Style: Freestyle Bike
Very good bike for the price paid. My son learnt to ride within 7 days though he did have a couple of falls. It’s heavy so it takes sometime for beginners to get a handle on it. The bike held up during that Initial period and he now enjoys riding the bike a few times per week. The seat does change angle sometimes though it is tight initially. It’s easy to fix but would have liked that to be taken of care of by manufacturer. ... show more

  • Nice bike, very poor assembly directions
Style: Freestyle Bike
My son is 9 and 53" tall and this bike is a good size for him. We have the seat on the lowest setting so he has plenty of room to grow with it. The assembly directions, however, are absolutely terrible. I get that the manufacturer is trying to print one booklet to cover many models of bikes. It would be useful if they would identify which sets of directions go with which model numbers. To save you some headache, here are the things I had issues with. I'm pretty handy and far from stupid, but will admit I know next to nothing about bikes. 1. The directions state the handlebars are already attached to the post. This is not true. You need to remove the four hex nuts in the clamp and mount the handlebars yourself. This is obvious, but just counter to the directions. 2. This bike has hand brakes. The brake directions are written for many, many different types of brakes and say to identify yours. There are detailed instructions on how to adjust each type of brake. NONE OF THIS IS NEEDED for this model of bike. All you have to do is attach the front and rear brake cables to the hand brakes and you are done. 3. That said, this was not so easily done. The rear brake cable is obvious, but I had to pull on it a lot with pliers to get it to fit into the slots, as the exposed length of cable was too short. The front brake cable was coiled up around the front brake and I couldn't figure out where the end was. I knew it needed to be taut and finally realized it went up into the handlebar stem. Voila! Pull it out from the top of the stem. I did have to loosen the cable holder nut to pull out enough cable to fit into the handle then re-tighten the cable holder nut. The ferrules on both cables were too close to the little "nipple" that goes into the handle hence the need to pull out more cable. I hope this helps. If I'd had better directions this probably would have taken 20-30 minutes to put together, but it took 2.5 hours. ... show more

  • Good bike but looks like I will be replacing tires allot. (Not just intertwines either)
Style: Freestyle Bike
This was delivered June 16th. Yesterday (july 4th) the tire blew it was warn through by the brakes, needs a new tire completely. This was the first time we have taken it anywhere for my son to ride outside or riding it on our private road in front of our house. The brakes burned through the tire not even halfway through the day, so he didn’t even get to continue riding his bike the rest of the Fourth of July. Unfortunately this is something I read in other reviews right after the bike was delivered and I was worried would happened and literally warned my son and told him to be easy on the brakes and it still happened. ... show more

  • Do Not Buy this Bike
Style: Freestyle Bike
DO NOT buy this Bike. I am not one to write reviews but I feel compelled to let people know about my experience. The breaks took forever to get right. I had to have my husband and father who are both extremely handy tweak them on many occasions. The tires are extremely thin and flimsy. My 8 year old rode this bike approximately 8-10 times and the back tire wore out to the point it popped. Keep in mind that we live in the city so there isn't an opportunity to off road. Also... the breaks aren't powerful enough for him to have skidded so much to have worn through a tire that fast. I sent a thorough complaint to Razor along with pictures and they told me to call Kent (I guess they own Razor). Kent was anything but helpful and did nothing to try and rectify the situation. This bike is brand new and going in the trash. My son will have to wait until Christmas/Birthday to get a new bike. Because of my busy work schedule I do almost all of my shopping online and this is the only time I have ever written a negative review in my life. Do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake I did... ... show more

  • Not terrible
Style: Freestyle Bike
My son loved this bike when he opened it! We got it for him for Easter. I looked at tons of different bikes and tons of different reviews and this seemed to be the best option for under $200. When we opened the box, the chain guard was broken; broken enough to the point we couldn't put it on the bike. I didn't feel it was a huge deal personally so we just didn't put one on. The bike worked fine, was easy to put together and looked nice. About 3 weeks of riding later, the brakes locked up. Not sure why it happened or how, but my husband fixed it and we moved on. A week or so later, the kickstand wouldn't stay up. Then, once we got it to stay up, it was hitting the chain when my son would pedal. So, then we fixed that. A week later, the chain began popping off. My son is 12 and knows how to put it back on, so he would. After putting it back on at least 3 times in about 10 minutes, he had had enough. So we tightened it up. A couple days later, it started again. We finally bought a new chain. All of this happened in about 6 weeks of having the bike. I'm thankful we're pretty handy and can fix most things. Not everyone is though. I honestly expect things I pay this much for to last more than 6 weeks before they begin to fall apart. Razor carries a good name and actually was recommended by a family member. But as time continues, whether it's a reputable name or not, everything seems to be made cheaper. Companies don't take pride in their products anymore and it shows. At least after buying multiple bikes over the years, we'll probably have enough quality parts we've pulled off each of them to just build an actual good quality bike...... Frakenbike. ... show more
