This is a GREAT beginner go cart - has decent battery life of over an hour but takes multiple hours to recharge. Three kids 10, 8 and 6 all love it and ride it. Top speed is 12 mph. Get a good helmet and replace the flag that comes on the pole with something brighter so cars can see it - we also put on flashing rechargeable lights front and back ... show more

Ordered 3 of these. The one didn’t work at all. Thankfully Amazon returned it as it was within 30 days…really 30 seconds. The other 2 kept repeatedly breaking down. Razor customer service was helpful, but every week I had to call them to request new parts. Ultimately the other 2 died and I had to take them to a repair shop 2 hours away. The guy looked at them & concluded that the repairs were outside of the warranty. I finally just scrapped them. $1500 for 3 of them. Got $500 back. Spent $1000 and the kiddos used them probably 1 total month out of the past 8. Do not buy unless you want a part time job repairing these things. Oh, and now I owe the repair man $70 just to tell me that to repair these things would be over $250 each - and he doesn’t recommend it. ... show more

We have had this for almost a year and a half. My grandson loves it and is not gentle with it at all. I am very impressed with the quality, durability and fun factor. It goes fast enough to be fun and is low enough to be safe. The grandchildren fight to have a turn, even the girls.

We’ve had a mixed experience with this Razor Go Kart. The biggest positives are the speed and maneuverability. It’s surprisingly fast, handles very well, and has no problem carrying heavier riders. My child absolutely loves how responsive and exciting it is to drive. However, there are several important drawbacks. First, the kart sits extremely low to the ground. Every bump, crack, or uneven spot in the road can be felt. It really requires a smooth, paved surface to be enjoyable. Even small amounts of gravel can make driving difficult. Another concern is that some of the wiring runs underneath the kart. Because of the low ground clearance, the wires can rub against bumps or obstacles on the road, which could potentially lead to damage over time. We also experienced an issue where the seat belt unexpectedly came undone while driving, which was concerning from a safety standpoint. For me, this kart being used around cars is a big no-no because it’s a major safety concern. Its low profile makes it difficult for drivers to see, and combined with its speed, that creates additional risk. I had also planned to transport it to local park roads for riding, but that didn’t work out. The kart is very heavy and does not fit in a mid-size SUV, which makes transporting it much more difficult than expected. Finally, because this kart is both very fast and very low to the ground, I would only recommend it for use on private property in a traffic-free area. If you don’t have access to a private driveway, large paved yard, or similar safe space, it may not be the best purchase. The speed is great, but it also means that riding near cars or public roads can become dangerous very quickly. ... show more

Great starter go-kart. The 13 miles an hour is misleading, I'm sure it feels faster when your kid is on it low to the ground, but it's not as fast as you would worry about it being. My son is 5 years old and 43 in tall and it fits him perfectly. I have a nephew who is nine who really enjoys it, but I think much older than that it would be a waste of time. ... show more
